Ten Years Later

In the Dust Road World, countless sky islands floated in the air.

After passing through the desolate outskirts of the world, they were about to enter the Middle Ring World, where resources had returned to normal.

Upon the sky islands surrounding the Middle Ring World,

towering stone pillar-shaped mountains stood tall, piercing straight into the sky.

From a giant's perspective,

this ring of Stone Pillar Sky Islands looked both like a fence protecting a backyard and like an exquisite birdcage imprisoning a canary.

Guiding Stone Pillars—the shattered world could not retain resources. These stone pillars had been artificially created to protect material as it condensed upon the sky islands, preventing it from flowing into the void.

Standing on a sky island outside the Middle Ring World,

Linsey looked up at the stone pillars before speaking to Alvitte beside him:

"These stone pillars are the core that keeps the entire world functioning."

"If someone wanted to destroy this world, they would probably only need to ruin some of these pillars to send this place into inevitable decline."

As Linsey spoke, he gazed into the distance.

The sky islands rose and fell at varying heights.

Resources gradually became more abundant here, and even clusters of clouds floated through the air.

To some of the lower sky islands, these clouds looked like towering layers stretching across the heavens; but to the sky islands at greater heights, the very same clouds became carpets spread beneath their feet.

Alvitte, who had come here with Linsey, nodded as well:

"That's right, just like the previous crisis in the Moon Weeping Mountain Range."

"If someone with ulterior motives acts here too, the situation will only become worse."

Linsey added:

"But this place is closer to the City of Law."

Alvitte had her own perspective on this:

"Yes.
