Borderland Banquet

Linsey and Alvitte entered the camp, surrounded by a group of guards.

Ordinary people still feared the pair's power.

But the man in charge of commanding the border, himself a Fifth Stage Awakened, had completely changed his attitude:

"Come, come, you two, have a seat over here!"

"No one usually comes to visit this godforsaken place of ours. Now that two esteemed guests have graced us with your presence, please forgive any shortcomings in our hospitality."

As he welcomed Linsey and Alvitte to their seats, the man gave a meaningful look.

His soldiers immediately caught on and carried over two large barrels from the storehouse behind them.

"Hm?"

With only a glance, Linsey's keen senses caught the fragrance drifting from the wooden barrels.

It was the scent of alcohol mixed with a refreshing fruity aroma.

"..."

"So this is the fruit wine you mentioned?"

At Alvitte's greeting, the man promptly opened a barrel and scooped out a bowl of pale yellow liquor with a wooden cup.

The Righteous Walker girl accepted the cup and drained it in one gulp.

Then she nodded in praise:

"Good!"

"The fruity aroma and wine fragrance blend perfectly. Rich and smooth without losing its freshness—it really is excellent!"

Alvitte discussed the wine with the man.

Meanwhile, Linsey rummaged through his pack and laid out the provisions he had prepared along the way.

"Oh?"

"Roast meat?"

"It smells incredible..."

Linsey's ability to take things out of thin air drew everyone's attention.

Some began guessing whether his Awakened ability made him a craftsman or a Space Sorcerer.

Others stared fixedly at the steaming roast meat placed on the table, swallowing hard again and again.

As for the Awakened who had been drinking with Alvitte—

He could no longer restrain himself and hurriedly smiled at Linsey.

"My lord,
