Linsey and Yanafeien's journey continued.
But this slower journey made Linsey realize something.
He had overlooked many "facts."
When he had come alone to the City of Law World, escaped the Royal City, and returned home,
Linsey had moved at full speed.
Mountains and rivers, passing travelers and wild beasts—all had been fleeting silhouettes at his current speed.
Linsey had not spared the time to carefully observe those surroundings.
But now, the long journey allowed him to see everything upon the land clearly.
The present City of Law could perhaps be called a grander Dust Road World.
There was no sky here that would kill you if it fell.
But those artificially divided "territories," which had no actual borders, could sometimes be even more dangerous than seeing the void itself.

"Move! The Walker's followers have left. We can't stay here any longer!"
"Wait for me!"
"You two are still standing around like idiots? Hurry up and go!"
Ahead of Linsey and Yanafeien was a group of refugees relocating. Someone kindhearted among them even waved them over.
"The next hundred or so kilometers are completely deserted, but there's a river to the east where you can get water!"
Faced with these kind travelers, Linsey offered them some advice as well.
In the current City of Law World,
the Awakened led by the Walker generally made saving people's lives their guiding purpose. And because of their innate convictions, their actions were rarely doubted.
Unfortunately, the Awakened won some battles and lost others.
Once a region's protector was defeated, the people forced to relocate would end up like this.
Leaving that group behind, Linsey and Yanafeien continued onward.
