Linsey's answer to that School of Death riddle drew astonishment from the Awakened around him.
As members of the same school, they had naturally studied this kind of coded language as well.
It was hardly strange for someone to use it in conversation.
What truly caused the atmosphere at the scene to freeze once again was the content of Linsey's words.

The School of Death Awakened exchanged glances.
Before long, the Awakened leading them spoke.
But when he questioned Linsey this time, there was obvious impatience in his voice:
"Mr. Linsey, may I ask where the Red Moon Lady you mentioned came from?"
That reaction alone was enough for Linsey to see many things.
He immediately composed himself and explained in a calm, gentle tone:
"You may not know this, but I am not actually a local of the City of Law. I come from a border town at the End of the Universe. It was at the Graveyard Church there that Red Moon Nun adopted me as her godson, and I joined the School of Death."

After Linsey answered, the School of Death Awakened began whispering among themselves.
A few more seconds passed before the person who had spoken earlier continued:
"Mr. Linsey, that town..."
Linsey directly interrupted him:
"It is the border town established to support the expeditioners."
After that simple explanation, Linsey pressed on.
"Sir, judging from your reactions, do you know my Godmother?"
Linsey saw it clearly.
After he gave his answer, the friendly attitude in the eyes of the School of Death Awakened before him became almost visibly apparent.
The man specifically gave Linsey an internal bow of their school before speaking.
