The Law Knight took the photograph and left at once.
Alvitte greeted Linsey, then hurried toward East City.
Here at the cemetery, Alvitte could not persuade the Law Knights on guard. But in East City, after the previous period of fleeing disaster, both ordinary people and Awakened trusted Alvitte deeply.
Now that she was taking the photograph back, she could use her reputation to locate the enemy's position as quickly as possible.
Linsey watched everyone leave.
Then he turned around. Only Liz and the Awakened from the School of Death remained on the hill at the center of the cemetery.
"Liz, and everyone from the School of Death."
Linsey nodded in greeting.
Liz bent at the waist and gave Linsey a deep bow.
"I still haven't properly thanked you."
"Mr. Linsey, thank you for extending a helping hand to the city and those innocent people. Without your efforts, nothing in the city would be as it is today. And Black Street's situation... it would be even harder to say what the outcome might have been."
Linsey smiled and waved his hand.
"It was what I should have done."
"Just like you, Liz. Haven't you always been helping those in need over in Black Street?"
After exchanging greetings, Linsey steered the conversation to the point.
"Let's talk business, Liz. What trouble brought you to the cemetery?"
"With Black Street in its current state, you probably don't have much spare time to go out. Or is there a problem with burying the dead from Black Street?"
"The handling of the dead has gone smoothly. The knights have strictly upheld the law and haven't made things difficult in any way." Liz shook her head before continuing, "I actually came here because of Mr. Prizm's Revelation."
