Knight Marshall clasped his hands behind his back and secretly rubbed one of them as he said, "That was incredibly strong. That force was nearly 200 pounds."
Abel's skin, muscles, and bones had undergone a long period of transformation by ascension energy. Although it had been 200 pounds of force, could 200 pounds of force from wood be the same as 200 pounds of force delivered by an iron rod?
That was why Knight Marshall had felt pain. Strength was only one factor; the greater reason was that Abel's body was simply too powerful.
"Your strength is comparable to those giant beasts in the Orc Empire." Knight Marshall silently called him a monster, then spoke aloud.
"Use battle qi and throw another punch." As he spoke, Knight Marshall took a shield from a corner beside the wall and held it in front of himself, leaving Abel dumbfounded.
Pale Golden Battle Qi surged forth. Abel's punch struck the center of the shield with a dull thud. This time, Knight Marshall merely swayed once before regaining his footing.
But Knight Marshall knew this was different from before, despite the fact that his body had only swayed slightly both times.
The first time, he had been empty-handed. What knight fought bare-handed? Only a knight wielding a weapon was a true knight.
The second time, he had held a shield and blocked with a standard knight's shield. Even so, the impact had still made his body sway slightly.
"Seven hundred pounds!" Knight Marshall gave a definite answer, then continued, "That's a three-and-a-half-fold increase."
Looking somewhat enviously at the delighted Abel, Knight Marshall continued, "With your strength and the boost from battle qi, if you had a good suit of armor, I don't know what could stop your advance."
"Really?" Abel was filled with excitement.
