The Goff Family had merely asked Bernie to have Abel help refine two main-array metallurgical materials. Asking whether Abel could help the dwarves find a small island in the middle of the ocean, however, had been Bernie's own idea.
Abel hesitated. White Cloud could indeed fly while concealing itself and its aura, and could remain airborne for an extremely long time. Under the current circumstances, however, he could not leave the Duchy of Camai.
Although the Assassin Guild had become the Duchy of Camai's blade, the duchy was also watched covetously by many people for various reasons—especially His Majesty Emperor Ambrose of the Kingdom of Saint Ellis.
"No way, Abel. You really have a solution?" Bernie's voice rose sharply. He had only wanted to give it a try and had never held out much hope.
"Bernie, I'm fairly confident I can reach a designated location over the ocean, but I can only go alone. And given the Duchy of Camai's current situation, I can't stay away for long." Abel nodded and explained.
"Who are your enemies? The Goff Family can send a puppet legion to help you and wipe them out!" Hearing that Abel could truly help them find their target at sea, Bernie was delighted and boldly offered.
It was no wonder Bernie said that. The puppet legion was the strongest army among the Dwarf race. It consisted entirely of five-meter-tall puppets, each controlled by a trained dwarf.
As long as no High Wizard took part in the battle, the puppet legion was practically invincible.
The problem was that there was nothing wrong with Abel buying the Dwarf race's war machines. Every country purchased them, and being able to buy better ones was a matter of ability; no one would make an issue of it.
But if the Dwarf
