Abel set aside the matter of the high-grade Magic Stone rich deposit. Instead of inspecting the eighteenth-level Magic Tower first, he looked around.

There was still a vast area around the Magic Tower, and the Old Ancestor had not wasted it. Precious herbs that could only grow in a magical environment grew everywhere on the ground.

Some of these herbs were so rare that even Abel had to wait for stock when buying them from the Alchemist Guild of the Elf race, yet they were being cultivated here.

The herb garden had likely taken the Old Ancestor tremendous effort. Transforming a garden capable of cultivating such precious herbs over a large area required enormous energy. Without the corresponding inheritance, it was simply impossible.

This large-scale cultivation method was an inheritance on the same level as a wizard's Rune Card crafting and array construction. It was the foundation upon which a wizard could establish himself.

One should not assume that herb gardens brought high profits without trouble. First, the investment was enormous. Transforming the garden in the initial stages required vast quantities of magical materials.

Second was security. If another wizard saw such a herb garden during cultivation and learned its value, protecting it would become a major problem.

Finally, there was the guarantee of a magical environment. A magical environment usually referred to the magic overflowing from a Magic Tower, but a herb garden could not survive on that small amount of magic alone.

Thus, herb gardens generally required medium or large Magic Gathering Arrays to provide their magical environment, which in turn required a huge quantity of Magic Stones to activate.

None of that was a problem here. This place was underground, its lighting supplied by lighting arrays that could control the illumination at any time. As for security,
