The Triggered Advancement (Three Chapters Combined)

This was Abel's first time coming to Anyost City of the Elf race in his human identity. When he stepped out of the teleportation array, Her Highness Grand Duchess Edwina, Duke Albert, and Lady Cali were already waiting outside the array.

"His Majesty, the great King Abel, welcome!" Her Highness Grand Duchess Edwina bowed to Abel.

She felt somewhat emotional. Abel had already grown to the point where she had to come personally to welcome him. Before, even when Abel was a Blacksmith Grandmaster or an Alchemy Master, she had never needed to wait outside the teleportation array for him.

But things were different now. As the emperor of humanity's most powerful empire, Abel led an empire whose displayed military strength forced every race to take it extremely seriously.

Abel had openly come to Anyost City. Even though he had not made a high-profile announcement, if Her Highness Grand Duchess Edwina, as the host, had not come to receive him, it would have been an insult to the Kingdom of Saint Ellis.

"Your Highness Grand Duchess Edwina, Your Highness Duke Albert, Lady Cali, sorry for troubling you!" Abel said with a smile, bowing.

Duke Albert and Lady Cali likewise bowed in return.

This was a public visit, so Abel had chosen Anyost City's public teleportation array—the only teleportation array permitted for human use.

For the sake of their people's safety, the Elf race only allowed outsiders to use the public teleportation arrays in each city. Those teleportation arrays had strict identity checks.

After exchanging greetings, Abel followed Her Highness Grand Duchess Edwina out of the public teleportation array. Beside the avenue outside stood a silver-white carriage, the carriage reserved for the Grand Duke's Mansion.
