Killing with a Blast

"Johnson!" Abel shouted, and his body turned into a streak of white light and vanished.

After hearing his master's voice, Johnson's body underwent a slight change. The alteration was not obvious on his ten-meter-tall body.

It merely opened a space inside its body large enough for one person to hide in. Abel then appeared inside that space.

If there was anywhere safest, it was inside Johnson's body. Unless the Multi-faceted Profound Black Iron Ball on the outside was shattered, no one could hurt him.

Abel had spared no expense modifying Johnson for the sake of a shield—a shield that could save his life.

The shock wave from "Holy Freeze" had already struck Johnson, but it did not affect Abel hiding inside his body.

High-level Wizard Hogg knew that Abel had awakened from meditation. Although he did not understand how Abel had cast the "Aging" curse—whether directly or through a Spell Scroll—he had begun worrying about Abel's situation.

"Wizard Abel, be careful! Stay farther away from them!" he shouted in warning.

Just then, Johnson's body suddenly turned into a streak of white light and vanished from where it stood, reappearing two hundred meters away.

"Teleportation" could transport a contracted item along with its user, but the mana consumed was directly related to the contracted item's size.

With a body as enormous as Johnson's, almost no wizard would directly teleport while bringing it along. After only a few uses, their mana might be completely exhausted.

One had to understand that regardless of a wizard's level, mana was extremely important. High-level wizards had immense reserves, but none of them dared cast spells without limit, because high-level spells also consumed an astonishing amount of mana.

Once too much mana was consumed, a high-level wizard lacking mana could no longer guarantee his own survival.
