When the gene warriors rampaged through the Samsung headquarters, all of Seoul descended into chaos.

The South Korean Seoul Police dispatched a large number of officers after receiving countless emergency calls. Given Samsung Group's tremendous influence in South Korea, the country did not want to see anything happen to the company.

But wanting to accomplish something was one thing; whether it could actually be done was another.

On a road leading to Samsung's headquarters, a police car patrolling the nearby area received orders from headquarters and began driving toward the building.

"Chief, traffic's jammed up ahead. Let's drive the wrong way down the side road."

Choi Hye-min, a newly hired female police officer sitting in the passenger seat, shouted loudly.

A traffic accident had occurred in the lanes ahead, causing severe congestion and making it difficult for the police convoy to move forward.

"Assi, just follow the traffic rules properly. We're police officers—we should be following them even more strictly."

The police chief behind the wheel, Park Chang-min, was an old hand. He rolled his eyes and spoke irritably.

"But Chief, Samsung is still waiting for our support. It's an emergency, so rules can be bent."

Choi Hye-min looked completely bewildered after being reprimanded. She still had not figured out what the problem was.

Police officers were allowed to bend traffic rules slightly when pursuing criminals.

The corner of Park Chang-min's mouth twitched. Why was I assigned such a reckless rookie? Helpless, he said, "You little brat, are you rushing over there to get yourself killed? My old comrade just called me. The situation over there is extremely grim. With our light weapons, what are we supposed to use against gene warriors? The pistol at your waist is no different from a fire poker in front of a gene warrior."
