Background / History

Su Jie graduated from an ordinary university on Blue Star but struggled to find work. An ancestral mirror activated one night and transported him to Tianyuan World, where he appeared in the mountains controlled by Ghost Ridge Palace. Unable to leave the sect's territory, he joined the Devilish Dao sect as an outer disciple under Old Daoist Qiu. 1

His initial life in Ghost Ridge Palace consisted of catching Human-faced Moths to meet his master's monthly dues and feed his life-bound Thousand-Hand Centipede. His poor aptitude left him at the second layer of the Spirit Nurturing Realm after half a year, while the sect's dangerous territory and strict controls made escape unrealistic. 1

The mirror eventually reopened a passage to Blue Star. Su Jie recognized that access to both worlds could solve his resource shortage, then began using Blue Star's industry, population, and material capacity to support his cultivation and expansion. 13 60

Su Jie is pragmatic, calculating, and intensely resource-driven. He exploits opportunities quickly, whether selling Peng Shiwen's corpse for Blood Marrow Crystals, taking cultivation manuals from enemies, or developing commercial and military projects across both worlds. 13 339
