Across the Eastern Kingdoms, the various factions were likewise seeking their own opportunities in this chaotic and turbulent new era.

The fusion of the two timelines had brought not only worldwide cataclysms, but countless opportunities as well.

In the north of the continent, the recently restored Lordaeron was desperately developing and growing stronger. From Queen Cariath down to the lowliest farmers, the entire nation stood united, striving day and night for Lordaeron's former glory.

Great-power hegemony and traditional aristocratic thinking—these distinctive products of the northern regions of the continent—still had a huge market within the newly reborn Lordaeron.

The people longed to restore their past glory. They believed that only the Menethil family could accomplish this. Their long rule since ancient times had already turned such loyalty into instinct. Other than the Menethil family, no one else had the right to rule the lands of Lordaeron.

Thus, the Forsaken, that short-lived northern regime, had never truly possessed any sense of belonging or integration. The resurrected Lordaeron nobles had merely sought to preserve their own power while stabilizing this homeland of theirs.

That was why, after Lordaeron was restored, quite a few undead nobles appeared within it. They immediately broke away from the Forsaken. Rather than following Dark Queen Sylvanas to settle in Northrend, they directly knelt before Queen Cariath and pledged their loyalty.

Now, these undead nobles led the undead farmers under their command in reclaiming land everywhere. The Alterac region had become the forefront of economic development, with construction projects underway all around.

So if you saw undead lords dripping in gold and silver, reeking of nouveau riche, or Wailing Banshees on the streets of Lordaeron's capital, do not be surprised. They were noble lords and ladies. They had land and gold, and lived better than living commoners.
