Garrosh's life as a prisoner continued.
The jailers of various races tasked with guarding Garrosh treated him fairly well. Occasionally, they even chatted with him about what was happening outside.
From them, Garrosh learned that he would soon be escorted to the Monastery of the Silent Step in the Kun-Lai Summit region of the Pandaria Continent, where he would stand public trial.
Garrosh found this public trial laughable. They had actually chosen Tyrande, the Ash Lord of the Night Empire, as the prosecution, responsible for outlining Garrosh's crimes and convincing everyone involved in the trial to vote in favor of executing him.
Those Night Warriors did not care about anything at all. They simply wanted him dead. Fairness and justice? Ha, what a joke.
Although Baine Bloodhoof was extremely reluctant, he still became Garrosh's defense counsel, fighting to spare the former Warchief from the death sentence and have it replaced with imprisonment or some other punishment.
Garrosh did not believe that merely because Baine Bloodhoof had become his defender, he would truly do his best to defend him.
That young Tauren had always harbored resentment toward him over the assassination attempt on his father, Cairne Bloodhoof. Though the Horde's honor would compel him to mount a fair defense, his heart had long leaned in the opposite direction.
War crimes?
Ha, that was merely one of the many grand labels slapped onto the losers, until they were crushed beneath their weight.
At that moment, Garrosh keenly sensed that something was wrong.
Quiet. Far too quiet. The jailers had all vanished, and not even the faintest sound of conversation could be heard outside.
Garrosh stood up and looked beyond the iron door, raising his guard.
A Sand Blast suddenly howled into existence from thin air, then violently exploded against the iron door.
