Background / History
Kuang Tie was a battle-hardened mercenary and Lord Jim Green’s strongest warrior during the timber-exchange ambush. He later led the City Lord’s Guard in operations against pirate groups. 73 96
During a pirate assault on the City Lord’s Mansion, he fought numerous opponents despite already being injured. A flaming scroll attack destroyed his right arm; although the battle briefly pushed him toward a Level 5 breakthrough, the loss of his arm caused the surge to collapse, leaving him weakened at Level 4. 102 103
Afterward, Kuang Tie considered leaving combat to write novels so he could continue supporting the orphans in his care. Kerry refused to let his military talent go, provided him with a mechanical arm, and appointed him Police Chief to recruit and organize a new City Guard. 107 110
Kerry later used a Medical Pod to regenerate Kuang Tie’s natural arm. Kuang Tie kept the mechanical limb as a gauntlet-like weapon both for its combat value and to conceal the existence of the Medical Pod. 116
Appearance
Kuang Tie is a muscular, heavily built warrior whose combat image is defined by his mechanical arm-guard and preference for heavy weapons. Following the loss of his arm, he was described as unkempt and visibly despondent before returning to active service. 106 116 348
- Uses a modified mechanical arm that can function as a gauntlet and arm guard. 116 204
- Has been seen wielding a twin-bladed axe, poleaxe, war hammer, and saber. 74 206 403
- Wore deliberately conspicuous bronze armor painted gold while acting as bait for enemy Level 6 experts. 403
- Regained his natural right arm through Kerry’s Medical Pod. 116
Personality
Kuang Tie is blunt, resilient, and fiercely committed to battle. Even after losing an arm, he focused on finding a way to provide for more than a hundred adopted children rather than abandoning his responsibilities. 107 116
He is deeply loyal to Kerry, viewing the mechanical arm as a rebirth and pledging to follow him as long as Kerry does not betray him. His concern for Kerry becomes extreme in combat; seeing Kerry endangered was the emotional trigger for Kuang Tie’s Level 5 breakthrough and berserk state. 110 207
As a commander, Kuang Tie can be practical and subtly mischievous. He allowed tension between veteran soldiers and recruits to motivate the recruits’ training, and he is willing to use deceptive or underhanded battlefield tactics when they create an advantage. 191 403
Abilities & Skills
Battle Qi Combat
Kuang Tie is a high-level warrior with strong Battle Qi output, durability, and close-quarters experience.
- Can condense Battle Qi into a defensive barrier and use acceleration charges over water. 73
- Uses Shattering Blade with his twin-bladed axe to deflect weapons and launch consecutive sweeping attacks. 74
- Favors direct, efficient fighting when surrounded: chopping, punching, kicking, and other basic attacks rather than wasteful skills. 102
- At Level 4, his strikes exceeded 7,000 jin of force, placing him above a newly advanced Level 4 opponent. 102
- Learned the Berserk skill from observing O’Neal; it greatly increases output but consumes substantial Battle Qi. 403
Blood Rage Technique
Kuang Tie became the first practitioner of the Blood Rage Secret Codex in his world after Kerry entrusted him with its first five levels. 178
- Learned the first four levels in a single day due to his existing Level 4 foundation. 178
- The technique’s complex movements become increasingly dangerous at higher levels; attempting the fifth level dislocated his shoulder. 180
- Emotional agitation and boiling blood can accelerate breakthroughs, but can also cause a berserk loss of reason. 207
- Requires rune plates to suppress its mental and life-force-related drawbacks; after reaching Level 5, he needed an Ice God Rune Plate. 178 207
Mechanical Arm-Guard
Kerry initially supplied Kuang Tie with a mechanical arm capable of roughly 20,000 jin of force, allowing him to threaten stronger opponents through surprise attacks. 110
- The original prosthetic could reproduce normal arm movements and was highly resistant to weapons. 110 116
- After his natural arm regenerated, it was modified into a wearable mechanical gauntlet and arm guard. 116 204
- The modified version has more than 10,000 jin of force, enough to catch weapons, strike enemies mid-air, and drive an opponent into a city wall. 204
- Its obvious power makes it a priority target for experienced opponents. 205 346
Military Command
Kuang Tie is one of Kerry’s principal commanders and oversees the development of the Great Wall Guard Army.
- Recruited and organized the City Guard after becoming Police Chief. 110 116
- Was formally designated Kerry’s land-forces general, alongside Nelson as naval admiral. 178
- Selected veteran soldiers as the first Blood Rage Technique trainees, using their privileges to motivate newer recruits. 178 191
- Reported a force of 12,000 graduates and 3,000 recruits, including six Level 4 warriors and more than 150 Level 3 warriors. 331
- Uses himself as battlefield bait when necessary, drawing enemy experts into difficult engagements. 403

- Billy — Enemy commander whom Kuang Tie incapacitated with a desperate Blood Rage Technique strike after sacrificing his fleshy arm in their duel. 346
Story Role / Major Arcs
Pirate Campaigns
Kuang Tie leads the City Lord’s Guard against pirate groups, including the Iron Scale Pirate Group. His early plans show tactical skill but also expose his tendency to expend too much Battle Qi before decisive attacks. 96 97
During the later pirate assault on the City Lord’s Mansion, he defeats a first wave of attackers while heavily wounded before losing his right arm to a fire scroll. 102 103
Rebuilding the City Guard
After receiving the mechanical arm and becoming Police Chief, Kuang Tie recruits the City Guard. Many volunteers are civilians Kerry had previously aided during a disaster, giving the new force strong loyalty to Kerry. 110 130
Blood Rage Army Development
Kerry appoints Kuang Tie as land-forces general and makes him the first Blood Rage Secret Codex practitioner. Kuang Tie then manages the technique’s rollout among veteran soldiers and oversees the expansion of the Great Wall Guard Army. 178 191
Defense of Little Nose Bay Port City
Kuang Tie saves Kerry twice during the city’s siege, first catching him in mid-air and then knocking him out of an incoming axe strike’s path. 204
While fighting O’Neal, he breaks through to Level 5 in a berserk state. Although his initial attacks are chaotic, Shi Qi’s intervention prevents O’Neal from exploiting Kuang Tie’s lack of control, forcing the enemy commander to retreat. 207 208
Billy’s Army and the Level 6 Breakthrough
Facing Billy’s stronger forces, Kuang Tie abandons a defensive mindset and fights with the intent to kill or die. Billy twists off his natural arm, but Kuang Tie uses the rotation to bring his iron arm around and deliver a devastating Blood Rage attack that knocks Billy unconscious. 345 346
After being healed, Kuang Tie consolidates his loosened bottleneck and reaches Level 6. 348 352
Later Conquests
Kuang Tie remains at the forefront of Kerry’s major campaigns, progressing through Levels 7 and 8. During the war against Ford, he, Wallace, and Sakaski—each newly Level 8—overwhelm Sack and help annihilate the Ford border army. 449 524
He later becomes a Level 9 Legendary Warrior after closed-door cultivation, though several comrades surpass him before he completes the breakthrough. 525
