Background

Shi Qi was orphaned at age nine after bandits destroyed her hometown. A street child directed her to the Dark Club, where the Director recruited orphans as assassin apprentices and trained them to earn money for him. 115

Her seven years in the Dark Club were marked by brutal training, constant danger, and fear of the Director. After learning that less capable female graduates disappeared under his control, Shi Qi trained relentlessly, graduated early, and pursued difficult assignments to make herself too valuable to exploit. Her success earned her the title Kuang San and enough leverage to negotiate twenty days of leave after missions. 115

Shi Qi is a tall, beautiful young woman with long black hair. She was initially seen wearing an eyepatch over what appeared to be a missing eye, but her impaired vision was caused by severe nearsightedness rather than the loss of an eye. 115 123 127

After losing her memories and being cared for by Kerry, she develops a stronger desire for family and belonging. Once her identities merge, she retains her assassin’s decisiveness while embracing a more open, affectionate personality. Assassination of Kerry Raynor

The Dark Club assigns Shi Qi to kill Kerry, believing him to be a simple Level 4 target. During surveillance, she learns that he treats his servants well and intends to build a welfare institute for orphans, creating a conflict between her conscience and her need to survive the Dark Club. 115 120

She infiltrates Kerry’s household as a maid and follows him to Little Nose Bay Port City, but Arthur detects her hostility and attacks her. The injury leaves Shi Qi with only the memories of her nine-year-old self. 120 121

Amnesia and Memory Recovery

Kerry takes responsibility for Shi Qi after her injury, recognizes her as his sister, and protects her from servants’ gossip. 121

A Space Ring reacts with Shi Qi’s hidden Space Bracelet, exposing her weapons and poison-marked bottles. Terrified that she may be a bad person, she asks Kerry whether he would still accept her if her memories returned; he promises that she would remain his sister. 123

Her memories return while sharing instant noodles with Kerry. The collision between her identity as Kuang San and her attachment to Kerry drives her assassin instincts to the surface, and she stabs him.
