Milim had not waited long before the Bald Giant emerged from the tent. He paused in surprise when he saw Milim sitting on the beach.
He then slowly walked over to Milim and sat down beside her.
The Bald Giant tilted his head slightly to look at Milim. "What a surprise! Milim, you actually came so early! Looks like you've been waiting for quite a while."
"Not that long. But I suddenly remembered something—where have you been eating these past few days?" Milim asked, as if something had just occurred to her.
"Don't worry. King Linlin arranged everything long ago. Someone brings me food every day." The Bald Giant smiled and mockingly said to Milim, "If it were up to you, I really would've starved to death. No matter how I look at it, Linlin feels more like the big sister."
Milim could only scratch her cheek and grin foolishly, trying to muddle through it.
Just then, a flag appeared on the distant shore. The Bald Giant immediately stood up; he was very familiar with the emblem on that flag.
"That's the flag of the Giant Kingdom. Did that guy really hang it up?" The Bald Giant's eyes widened in disbelief.
"Is there something special about that flag?" Milim asked in confusion.
The Bald Giant's expression turned solemn. "That flag represents more than just the Giant Village. It represents Elbaf, the kingdom of all giants."
"If that flag has appeared here, it can only mean that the Giant King recognizes our intention to join Many Countries."
"It also signifies the Giant King's goodwill."
"So that's how it is!" Milim nodded as if she understood, though not entirely.
"Looks like you really did something right this time, Milim." A woman's voice suddenly came from behind them. At some point, Linlin had already appeared behind the two of them.
One hand rested on Milim's head as she greeted the Bald Giant.
"Good morning!"
"Good morning, King Linlin," the Bald Giant promptly replied.
Milim struggled and shook Linlin's large hand off her head. "Stop touching my head whenever you feel like it! I won't grow taller."
Linlin smiled without saying anything, her gaze fixed directly on the enormous sailboat in the distance.
Linlin had grown up in a village that had giants since childhood, so she naturally understood just how powerful giants were. They possessed immense strength from birth.
They did not even need training to easily deal with eighty percent of the people in the world.
If the giants of an entire nation were gathered together, even the World Government would not dare clash with them head-on.
However, she had heard that the current Giant King, Harald, had always been trying to join the World Government and become a nation recognized by the world.
But in Linlin's view, the World Government had already given a clear answer. Harald only needed to look at the newspapers and their constant smearing of Elbaf, the Giant Kingdom, to understand the World Government's attitude.
Yet Giant King Harald still had no intention of giving up, which Linlin found utterly incomprehensible. How could endless compromise and pleading possibly earn respect and peace?
Though she could not understand the Giant King's thinking, Linlin highly valued the giants' immense strength. Establishing friendship with the Giant Kingdom would bring nothing but benefits to Many Countries.
Not to mention that several nearby nations had recently begun gathering their troops. It seemed that before long, a great war between nations would break out.
The three did not have to wait long before the massive ship docked. More than thirty giants jumped down from the vessel, all of them giants from the Giant Village.
The first thing the Giant Chief saw after getting off the ship was the Bald Giant, and a delighted smile immediately appeared on his face. "Blacksmith, it's been a long time."
"What nonsense are you talking about? We only parted a month ago." The Bald Giant walked over to the Giant Chief, and the two embraced.
"Looks like you came first this time," the Giant Chief said with emotion.
"Of course. Not only am I the first giant to arrive in Many Countries, I'm also the first giant to become the Chief Artisan," the Bald Giant declared with immense pride.
"Really now, I never expected you to snatch so many firsts." The Giant Chief scratched his head, sounding somewhat unwilling to accept it.
The two chatted for a while before walking over to Linlin. All the giants dropped to one knee and shouted in unison, "From today onward, we officially join Many Countries!"
"None of you have eaten breakfast yet, have you?" Linlin asked with a gentle smile.
The Giant Chief scratched his head awkwardly. "We were too excited this morning and didn't have time to eat."
"In that case, let's eat together first. Then we can discuss your future arrangements." Linlin made the decision swiftly.
As she watched both sides chatting happily while walking toward the place where the banquet was being held, Milim trailed behind them with a face full of resentment.
Damn it, I never thought this cursed drinking-table culture would make its way here too.
When they arrived at the banquet venue, the giants were so large that all the supplies for the feast had been specially set out in the open.
Linlin sat at the head of the table, with Milim beside her. The other giants sat at separate tables, and the sight of all the delicious food laid before them nearly made them drool.
Everyone then began eating. While dining, Linlin arranged the giants' future matters and showed them the area that had been specifically allotted to them.
The atmosphere at the banquet was extremely pleasant, and the final outcome satisfied everyone. The giants could also find work suited to them here.
Whether they wanted to become soldiers or craftsmen, among the many positions in Many Countries, there would always be one suitable for a giant.
Milim did not pay much attention to their conversation. Instead, she focused on the food before her. Though she had already eaten buns that morning, Milim ate simply for enjoyment; it did not matter how much she consumed.
Now that such delicious food was placed right in front of her, how could she possibly not eat?
The banquet ended quickly, and Aier personally led all the giants to the territory assigned to them.
Only Milim and Linlin remained at the banquet.
Once everyone had left, Linlin no longer kept up the pretense. She let out a huge yawn, her eyes filled with exhaustion.
Seeing Linlin like this, Milim's eyes held a trace of concern. "Linlin, why are you still so busy? Didn't I tell you to find some people to help you handle those documents?"
"Not everything has to be done by you alone."
Linlin revealed a gentle smile. "I'm already training someone. I recently took in a little secretary named Ruka, and she's quite capable of handling these matters. I plan to train her properly."
