A little after nine at night, a white electric scooter appeared at the end of the street.
The dim yellow streetlights illuminated the vehicles passing along the road. Since the area was surrounded by residential neighborhoods, there were not many cars.
At that moment, Su Yue slightly increased the speed of the white electric scooter.
Inside the residential compound's security booth, two guards were playing on their phones. They noticed out of the corners of their eyes that someone had entered the compound at speed, and hurriedly looked up.
"It's Teacher Su."
"She came back pretty late today."
Su Yue pushed the electric scooter into the parking shed and parked it, removed her helmet, then carried her bag toward the distant stairwell entrance.
After work today, Su Yue had gone to help Wang Ling watch the shop. Once the shop closed, the two of them had eaten a meal together.
Afterward, they had not gone home separately. At Wang Ling's suggestion, they had gone shopping again, and Su Yue had not returned until after nine.
"Click."
The quiet room was pitch-black. After returning home, Su Yue immediately turned on the lights.
The bright light drove away all the darkness. Wearing indoor slippers, Su Yue came to the living room, tossed the bag in her hand onto the single-person sofa, and then collapsed onto it.
"I didn't shop for that long today. Why do I feel especially tired?"
Lying on the sofa, Su Yue muttered to herself as her evenly proportioned, fair, slender legs swayed.
She suddenly thought of something, quickly sat up, took her bag, opened it, and pulled out her phone.
"I'm home. Are you coming over now, or should we wait until tomorrow?"
Su Yue pressed her slender, jade-green-finger-like finger against the screen and sent a voice message.
