The living room was quiet.
The clock hanging on the wall ticked steadily, giving off a barely audible sound.
Suddenly, invisible energy fluctuations spread from the bedroom, enveloping the entire room.
Several small ornaments on the living room shelf slowly floated up and hung suspended in midair.
At that moment, the bedroom, filled with a faint, secluded fragrance, was suffused with thick white mist.
"Whoosh..."
A gust of wind rose inside the bedroom, whose doors and windows were tightly shut. Disturbed by the wind, the white mist churned rapidly.
Within the residential area, most of the Spiritual Energy floating freely in the air converged in the bedroom and was rapidly absorbed.
Less than a minute had passed since the first wisp of white mist appeared, and nearly all the Spiritual Energy gathered in the bedroom had already been consumed.
"Not enough. Far from enough..."
A melodious voice came from within the white mist. Though the voice was beautiful, it carried not the slightest hint of emotion and sounded somewhat cold.
The white mist filling the entire bedroom rapidly faded. When the last wisp dissipated, the graceful figure lying on the bed had vanished.
The small ornaments floating in midair in the living room, no longer affected by any external force, all returned to their original positions.
In the dim room, aside from the sound of the clock ticking, there was no other movement. It was as though the eerie scene from a moment ago had never happened.
