Background

Yan Qing entered The Herald through a mutated game console that only permitted Realistic Mode. Though he initially considered creating a female avatar, he feared the console might identify such a character as his real body; he instead selected the default male face. 3

His first two accounts, Yan Yi and Yan Er, were killed almost immediately by Ping City's guards and pursuing knights. Yan Qing responded by building Yan San around high Health, attacking the guards, gaining levels, and entering the military camp. Yan San's access to personal and public warehouses revealed that Yan Qing could transfer items between accounts. 4

He initially treated alternate accounts as expendable tools meant to take risks in his place. This principle later conflicted with his attachment to the Bunny Heroine: although he considered deleting her after her capture, he hesitated because all accounts shared Calamity Force and because she had become more than a disposable asset to him. 139 209
