Background / History

Yu Yuanzhen returned to the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan as its imposing Sect Master and was welcomed by his twin sons, Yu Xiaoheng and Yu Xiaogang. Before their Spirit Awakenings, he placed greater faith in Xiaogang's apparent talent and expected the clan's resources and succession to favor him; he regarded Xiaoheng's body tempering and commercial pursuits as wasted potential. Nevertheless, he fulfilled Xiaoheng's request to locate and bring Liu Erlong to the clan, then assigned her to Xiaoheng's responsibility 3.

He publicly entrusted the sect's future to Yu Xiaogang and instructed him to care for Xiaoheng, reflecting his initial belief that Xiaogang would become the clan's central heir 7. Xiaogang's failed awakening and Xiaoheng's subsequent emergence as a Golden Holy Dragon prodigy overturned those expectations. During the Heavenly Tribulation crisis, Yu Yuanzhen prioritized Xiaoheng's survival and the Blue Lightning Clan's evacuation. As a sect leader, Yu Yuanzhen is decisive and severe when the clan is threatened.
