The Devil plaintively showed Adam the chunk missing from its "body," then urged him on. "Great Master, that stupid crawling beast actually dared spit at your most loyal servant. It clearly has no regard for you at all. I think it should be given the cruelest possible death!"
Adam did not believe a single word the Devil said. He even suspected that the Devil had deliberately lured this snake-like Magic Beast over to vent its resentment. So Adam harshly punished the Devil through their contract and told it, "Get lost."
The giant python coiled its enormous body and remained motionless several dozen meters in front of Adam, transparent, highly toxic venom continuously dripping from its mouth. Pythons were supposed to be nonvenomous. Either the one before Adam was a mutated python, or an ordinary venomous snake that had undergone extreme evolution.
In the giant snake's eyes, Adam radiated an irresistible, delicious aura. The only reason it had not attacked was that Adam's energy fluctuation made it uneasy. But as its instincts intensified, its desire to attack grew stronger and stronger.
Finally, with a slight movement from Adam, the giant snake could no longer restrain its urge to attack. Its body contracted, then shot toward Adam like a spring, venom splashing through the air straight at him.
"Far too low-level." Adam shook his head, utterly unconcerned. A Magic Beast of this caliber might force ordinary apprentices to pay a tremendous price, perhaps even perish in its jaws, but for Adam, it was far too simple.
There was no need to elaborate on the battle. A few seconds later, Adam's High-Pressure Water Line severed the Magic Beast's head in one strike.
A snake's central hub was spread throughout its entire body, so even after being beheaded, it remained aggressive for some time.
