Background / History
Meeting Bai Sheng
Jing Yuan had previously spoken with Bai Sheng online under the name Real Name Online, with the two sharing a trusting rapport without revealing their identities. He personally traveled to Kasantiya, revealed himself as the Luofu General, and accepted Bai Sheng as his disciple after Bai Sheng avenged his mother. 26 30
Although capable of intervening directly against Phantylia, Jing Yuan initially allowed Bai Sheng, Aatrox, and Beleria to fight so Bai Sheng could gain practical experience. He later assisted Bai Sheng with constructing authority for a soul placed within the Scythe Blade. 30 34
Life on the Luofu
Jing Yuan brought Bai Sheng to the Xianzhou Luofu, introduced him to Fu Xuan, and arranged temporary lodging at the Divine General's Mansion. He encouraged Bai Sheng to settle into Luofu life, offering advice on business and martial training. 36 37
He also arranged for Bai Sheng to meet Yan Qing. After their spar, Jing Yuan approved Bai Sheng becoming Yan Qing's senior brother, establishing the two as fellow disciples. 39 41
The Medicine Master's Secret Transmission Operation
To help Bai Sheng infiltrate the Medicine Master's Secret Transmission, Jing Yuan publicly attacked and disowned him, accusing him of colluding with the Plague of Abundance and issuing a five-billion-credit bounty. The confrontation was staged so Bai Sheng's escape and defection would appear convincing. 53
Jing Yuan remained in secret contact with Bai Sheng through a jade token and agreed to watch over Huohuo while Bai Sheng was undercover. He later directed Bai Sheng to continue gathering intelligence rather than immediately destroying the organization. 58 115
Jianmu Crisis
During Phantylia's attack on the Luofu, Jing Yuan coordinated with the Train Crew and asked Dan Heng to open the route to Jianmu. He entered Jianmu with the assault party while ordering Fu Xuan to oversee the forces outside and assume responsibility should he fail to return. 132 136
Phantylia restrained Jing Yuan during the battle, but he released Radiant Thunderlight to destroy the Mystic Root binding him and immediately coordinated an attack with Dan Heng. He survived the confrontation but was left severely exhausted and injured. 138
Later Affairs
Jing Yuan was deeply affected by Bai Sheng's death and subsequent resurrection through the Dragon Transformation Secret Art and Pandora's power. He later placed the Luofu on wartime footing against the Plague's remnants after learning Bai Sheng had previously been killed by them. 223 247
As the Martial Arts Ceremony approached, he prepared the Luofu for political pressure from other Xianzhou and entrusted Bai Sheng with helping manage the increased threats to the ship. 350 429
Appearance
Even when dressed plainly, Jing Yuan is immediately recognizable as the Luofu's Divine General. 26
- Golden eyes. 26 37
- Often maintains a calm smile, even while provoking or outmaneuvering others. 30 36

Personality
Jing Yuan is relaxed, humorous, and conspicuously fond of avoiding paperwork. He regularly maneuvers Fu Xuan into handling official duties, including using wagers and urgent assignments as excuses to leave the Divine General's Mansion. 18 132 162
Behind this casual demeanor is a calculating strategist. He uses chess as a lesson in wartime unpredictability, stages convincing public deceptions when necessary, and carefully delays action until the political or tactical moment is right. 36 53 115
He is protective of his disciples despite his teasing and indirect methods. He arranges opportunities for Bai Sheng to grow, entrusts Yan Qing with command responsibilities, and treats threats against Bai Sheng as matters worthy of military action. 37 250 247
