In Kato Court, the capital of that neighboring country, she was selected as an Iron Law Knight for her outstanding performance. Kainlaur personally assigned her to little Galiusha's side, making her Galiusha's personal guard.

That was when she began interacting with little Galiusha.

At the time, Galiusha could only be considered a precocious little girl. She had a pair of sharp eyes that could vaguely see through the motives behind the adults' various actions, but she was still extremely immature when it came to deducing the logic of human interaction.

She often sought Melina's advice. As a believer in Truth, no matter how much Melina tried to conceal it, her will always carried traces utterly different from Order. But the Grand Inquisition was not tranquil within, either. Just as the Grand Scholars schemed against one another to secure support and experimental resources, and did whatever it took to enter the Scholarly Council, one faction within the Grand Inquisition was investigating the connection between Kainlaur and Truth.

Because Melina had grown too
