What did it feel like to have a shadow that could act independently of you?
Before today, Cheng Shi couldn't answer that question. Now, however, he had a say in the matter.
When it became independent, the shadow was essentially a second audiovisual system for Cheng Shi. The same brain still processed the information, but at least the amount of input had increased.
Of course, the amount of output—physically—had also increased.
The shadow wasn't merely a decorative living thing. It possessed faith as well, and its faith complemented Cheng Shi's original self.
In other words, when Cheng Shi fused Deception with Chaos, his shadow fused Destiny with Time. When Cheng Shi came into contact with his shadow, the two sides' faiths would be exchanged once again.
And that wasn't all. The shadow also possessed talents. It was completely another Cheng Shi of faith. So, if Cheng Shi used the Chaos Acting Method to play someone again in the future, he would possess a "devout" follower of Destiny.
That follower could even use masks to change professions, achieving absolute coordination and understanding with his original self!
This was practically equivalent to using two sets of talents simultaneously!
Once he realized this, Cheng Shi decisively prayed for a Solo Trial and went in to test it out.
The facts proved that one plus one was far greater than two. Cheng Shi, with two Faith Talents existing simultaneously, had not merely doubled his combat strength. It was as if he had gained a "subordinate" who understood him completely.
This should have been cause for joy.
Unfortunately, the timing of that joy was somewhat unfortunate.
After witnessing the collapse of the cosmos, the emergence of the true universe, and Origin making the war bleed dry and bringing the flames to a halt, even this
