No one could have expected Annihilation to appear here at this point in time and block the Great One's path.
Faith Opposition did exist, but after several eras, the gods no longer expressed their opposition through excessively fierce confrontations. Especially in this era, when divine authority was protected by the Covenant, no one was willing to waste effort on something pointless.
Yet Annihilation had still come.
The moment it appeared, the entire Void began to peel away, collapse, and finally dissolve.
But the Void was nothingness to begin with. How could it dissolve?
Thus, the scene before them looked more like someone had given form to nothingness, only to then reduce those manifestations of darkness to utter annihilation.
The torrent of white bones was halted within this space. After circling twice, it rapidly gathered and plummeted downward, and Fishbone Hall instantly took shape.
The enormous skull sat upon the Bone Throne. Not even a ghostly flame burned in its eyes as it merely watched the surrounding Void collapse and sneered disdainfully:
"Splendid, but hollow.
You are still so obsessed with the ownership of the Void.
It is utterly laughable.
If even Annihilation no longer annihilates, then you...
What need is there for your existence?"
As it spoke, Fishbone Hall moved once more. From the countless bone pools lining both sides of the bone-spiked stairs beneath the Bone Throne, countless chattering little skulls erupted in an instant. They cried out the name of their Lord of Grace as they converged into torrents that shot toward the surroundings, constantly using their ghastly-white bodies to mend the collapsing Void.
Annihilation, hidden beneath the Void, did not argue. It merely continued devouring the ground beneath Fishbone Hall, attempting to use a murderous assault born of annihilation to annihilate its rival then and there.
Thus,
