Background
Ergons was originally the seventeen-year-old son of Sir Nova Tervalin. Following Nova's mysterious death in a lord's private war, the original Ergons reportedly died of grief while returning to Tervalin Village for the funeral. During the journey, his soul was replaced by that of a teenager from Earth. The new Ergons inherited a strong squire knight's body but not the original owner's knowledge of local politics or geography. 1 5
His arrival coincided with a succession crisis. Sir Davis Tervalin, a distant relative sent by the main family, arranged a supposed bandit-hunting expedition that was actually intended to eliminate Ergons and seize Tervalin Manor. Ergons discovered a damaged laptop-like interface that transformed into the Cheat System, giving him the means to resist. 1 2 3
Ergons used the System to raid Tevalinburg's armory, steal horses and armor, empty the granary, and prepare an ambush. He defeated Davis and his retainers, interrogated Davis about the planned County of Tervain invasion, then executed him. Ergons subsequently used Face Sculpting to assume Davis's appearance and infiltrate Tevalinburg. 3 4 6
Appearance
Ergons originally possesses the tall, strong physique and martial bearing of a noble squire knight. At seventeen, he is already physically distinguished from commoners. 1
- Tall and strongly built. 1
- Usually presents a composed, authoritative demeanor, despite frequent private panic over his circumstances. 1
- Can reshape his facial features through Face Sculpting. 6
- Successfully impersonates the older Sir Davis Tervalin due to their shared family resemblance. 6
- Later adopts alternate identities, including Sir Evoy and Mr. Evoy. 49 83
Personality
Ergons is adaptive, calculating, and highly opportunistic. Upon discovering the Cheat System, he immediately evaluates its restrictions, identifies the danger posed by Sir Davis, and turns an assassination attempt into an opportunity to seize equipment, recruits, and political leverage. 2 3
He is willing to use deception, coercion, torture, and murder when he believes they are necessary. He tortures Sir Davis for information, kills him to steal his identity, manipulates the Adena siblings into serving him, and engineers false heretic incidents to gain influence beyond the Baron's lands. 5 6 12 70 74
Despite this ruthlessness, Ergons is capable of practical mercy and genuine responsibility. He spares survivors when their escape can spread useful information, avenges his father's killer, rescues captives, funds village infrastructure, and trains both soldiers and villagers to improve their prospects. 24 41 48 73
He is increasingly conscious that loyalty cannot be treated as a simple game mechanic. After the circus incident, he recognizes that even devoted followers have private motives and can expose his secrets if manipulated by outsiders. 47
Abilities & Skills
Cheat System
Ergons possesses a damaged Cheat System represented by a floating keyboard and mini-map. Its commands are divided into three permission levels and consume limited energy. 1 2
- Level 1 permissions may be used six times per natural day. 2
- Level 2 permissions may be used six times per natural month. 2
- Level 3 permissions unlock after his victory over Horus, but require ten solar cycles to recharge between uses. 62
- The System can recover by consuming life, souls, and faith; large-scale use risks attracting the attention of other deities. 16
- It can absorb unusual energy sources, including blood kin parasites and a lesion identified as a dragon nerve modification. 61 100
Health Restoration
CTRL+H instantly restores Ergons to full health. 1 2
- He uses it to heal facial injuries inflicted during William and Elisa Adena's ambush. 11
- He heals a self-inflicted wound in front of clergy, making the recovery appear to be a Holy Light miracle. 35
- He uses it during arena combat to recover from a broken leg. 100
- Its availability is restricted by the daily Level 1 command limit. 2
Combat Commands
Ergons can use commands that alter the outcome or flow of combat. 2 61 62
CTRL+F4automatically knocks out an enemy. 2- He uses
CTRL+F4to defeat Sir Davis and William Adena despite physical disadvantages. 4 11 CTRL+F9activates a slow-motion combat state, allowing him to react while enemies move extremely slowly. 61 98- Level 3 commands include pausing combat and stunning all enemies or allies with blunt damage. 62
- Level 3 commands are effectively impractical in ordinary combat because of their extended recharge requirement. 62
Teleportation
A Level 2 command allows Ergons to teleport to selected locations and transport his party. 2 3 4
- Teleports into Tevalinburg's armory to steal armor, weapons, and warhorses. 3
- Can teleport back to his territory after an operation. 2 3
- Uses teleportation while posing as Sir Evoy to transport four rescued noblewomen to Erdonseck City. 49
- The ability can affect an entire squad rather than Ergons alone. 4
Face Sculpting
Ergons can alter his appearance through the System's character panel. 6
- Reshapes his face to resemble Sir Davis Tervalin closely enough to impersonate him. 6
- Uses further aliases and altered appearances to create the impression that the Silver Hand has multiple agents. 49 83
- His ability to change appearances causes political figures to fear replacement or infiltration by the supposed Silver Hand. 49 86
Weapon Mastery
Ergons gains weapon experience directly through the System and is described as a Weapon Master by Level 32. 2 104
- Proficient with one-handed weapons, two-handed weapons, polearms, bows, thrown weapons, and firearms. 4 104
- Uses a thrown lance and heavy winged mace to defeat Davis's squire. 4
- Routinely uses archery to eliminate opponents before they can engage him. 97 99
- Defeats the Champion Fighter through mounted combat, thrown weapons, timing, and a decisive knee strike. 98 100
- Single-handedly destroys over one hundred blood kin with a heavy hammer while moving at extraordinary speed. 59
Troop Enhancement
Ergons can recruit, upgrade, equip, and grant experience to troops through the System. 4 12 15
- Upgrades peasants into recruits, militia, light infantry, mercenary sentries, crossbowmen, sergeants, and knights. 4 5 15 40 69
- Uses Level 2 permissions to grant troops experience directly, as demonstrated with William Adena and Pastor Ramses Bolton. 12 33
- Can grant soldiers improved equipment, physical strength, combat knowledge, and literacy-related knowledge embedded in training experience. 15 80
- Public upgrades appear as divine blessings, strengthening his followers' faith and loyalty. 15 69 115
- Troop upgrades and equipment provisioning require money, even when the upgrade itself is free. 4 69
Leadership and Military Training
Ergons is an effective commander and instructor, using both System advantages and systematic training methods. 32 107 110
- Reorganizes disordered court knights, demands reports, repairs defenses, and enforces hygiene. 32
- Trains knights in mounted combat and develops a force of 22 heavy knights and 86 spearmen. 34
- Identifies individual combat weaknesses through sparring, then creates targeted corrective training plans. 107 108
- Promotes gradual conditioning, nutrition, stretching, discipline, and continued self-examination. 108 109
- His instruction noticeably improves the Wind Horse Knights' efficiency, confidence, and professional pride. 110
Medical Knowledge

- Gains Surgery and First Aid by Level 29. 41
- Is described as becoming a proficient surgeon. 41
- Uses his observations of Horus's parasites to create an Acquired Strengthening Potion experiment for Old Adam. 64
Tracking
Ergons can read tracks and use the System's mini-map to monitor nearby forces. 3 21
- Detects a seventeen-man bandit ambush three miles ahead through the mini-map. 3
- Tracks Horus's group by reading footprints and wheelbarrow marks. 21
- Uses the map to monitor blood kin movements and plan encounters. 60
Equipment
- Heavy armor and knightly equipment stolen from Tevalinburg's armory, including plate armor, helmets, plate boots, scale gauntlets, and warhorses. 3
- Heavy winged mace. 4
- Light lance, used as both a mounted weapon and a thrown projectile. 4
- Heavy great hammer, used to massacre blood kin. 58 59
- Butcher knife, used extensively during the battle against Horus and his blood kin. 61
