The influx of Spiritual Qi from the other world had merely been the fuse.

The first upheaval came in the third year after the Spiritual Energy Resurgence. Spatial rifts appeared on Blue Star once again, and countless terrifying creatures poured out of them. Those creatures were the Aliens humans spoke of.

Aliens were brutal by nature and devoured anyone they encountered.

Although Spiritual Qi had revived at the time, it had only made people's muscles, tendons, and bones stronger. Martial arts cultivation had not yet begun. The only things that could harm the Aliens were firearms and artillery, yet even those could not inflict fatal injuries. Human lives could only be used to fill the gap.

The spatial rifts were open for only a dozen or so minutes, yet tens of thousands of Aliens rushed out from them.

Once the Aliens appeared, they began slaughtering humans on a massive scale. Humanity rose in resistance. At first, they could only push forward with human lives, but later, humans uncovered ancient martial arts manuals and attempted to cultivate them. To their surprise, they truly gained extraordinary power.

By then, nearly half of humanity had already been slaughtered by the Aliens.

Only after they began cultivating martial arts did the nations of Blue Star gain the strength to fight the Aliens.

The nations of Blue Star developed along two fronts: they vigorously advanced martial arts while also researching all kinds of large-scale destructive thermal weapons.

It was not until three years later that humanity gained the strength to fight Aliens one-on-one. Yet the war continued for more than thirty years. During that time, spatial rifts kept appearing, releasing Aliens in varying numbers.

This was Blue Star's first major upheaval.

The appearance of spatial rifts was unpredictable, but they would certainly appear again in the future. A continuous stream of Aliens would enter Blue Star through those rifts, and Aliens would become humanity's greatest enemy in the future.

Therefore, after the upheaval ended, nations around the world established specialized scientific institutions to study Aliens, using their bodies for all kinds of experiments.

One such experiment involved extracting Alien bloodline genes and implanting them into human bodies, allowing humans to wield the power of Aliens. At first, the experiment succeeded.

Until spatial rifts appeared again and high-ranking Aliens descended.

The Alien bloodline genes within those super-gene soldiers who had been implanted with Alien bloodline genes were affected by the high-ranking Aliens. They completely took over the super-gene soldiers' minds, causing them all to turn against humanity.

This was Blue Star's second major upheaval.
