Background / History

Two hundred years before the story, Blue Star accidentally connected to an unknown world, triggering the Spiritual Energy Resurgence. Three years later, spatial rifts began opening and released tens of thousands of Aliens. Firearms and artillery could injure them but initially could not reliably kill them, and nearly half of humanity was slaughtered before martial arts cultivation gave humanity the means to resist. 2 30

Spatial rifts continue to appear unpredictably. Some heal quickly, while more stable passages can be forcibly opened by powerful otherworld experts; the conflicting laws between worlds create enduring border regions through which Aliens can enter Blue Star. 30 62 78

The Aliens' world is described as an apocalyptic realm saturated with destruction and chaos. Its factions seek Blue Star's World Origin either to restore their original world or to occupy Blue Star permanently, making all such factions invaders from humanity's perspective. 77

Classification

Appearance

Aliens have no single species-wide appearance. They encompass numerous races and commonly resemble distorted or enlarged beasts, including wolves, apes, birds, spiders, bears, pigs, and reptiles. 2 69 77 134

• Low-level Aliens commonly have scarlet eyes, associated with their blood-moon-lit native world. 41 76
• Many possess exceptional natural physiques, such as scales, spikes, claws, tusks, or hardened hides. 31 85
• Mid-level and high-level Aliens may have non-scarlet eyes and visibly greater intelligence. 76 118
• Altered Humans may be collectively called “Aliens” after transforming into visibly nonhuman forms, despite originating as humans. 30 31

Traits and Abilities

Bloodthirst and Predation

Aliens are naturally vicious and feed on humans. Low-level Aliens are especially prone to attacking any nearby lifeform once stimulated by the scent of blood. 2 30 69

• Low-level Aliens tend to hide in sewers, caves, mountains, or other shaded areas during daylight.
• Sunlight does not necessarily harm them, but causes intense discomfort due to instincts inherited from their sunless native world. 69
• Without higher-ranked control, low-level Aliens lack the intelligence and discipline to function as a coordinated army. 135

Bloodline Hierarchy

Alien society follows a strict bloodline hierarchy. Higher-ranked Aliens can impose near-absolute control over those beneath them. 118

• Mid-level Aliens can suppress and command low-level Aliens through bloodline power. 118
• High-level Aliens can control Altered Humans carrying compatible Alien bloodline genes. 30
• A mid-level controller can organize otherwise mindless low-level Aliens into an army; killing that controller causes the force to collapse. 135

Fiendish Qi

Aliens cultivate through Fiendish Qi rather than Spiritual Qi. Beasts that absorb Fiendish Qi evolve into Fierce Beasts and become increasingly violent and bloodthirsty. 156

• Low-level Aliens absorb Fiendish Qi largely by instinct and use it inefficiently. 157
• Mid-level Aliens can release Fiendish Qi externally in combat. 157
• Fiendish Qi quality varies; low-quality Fiendish Qi is comparable to low-grade True Qi, while high-quality Fiendish Qi is comparable to high-grade True Qi. 157

Physical Resilience

Alien bodies are generally stronger than human bodies of a comparable level, though resilience differs widely by rank and species. 85

• Aliens and Alien Humans below Level 3 cannot withstand bullets; Level 3 and above can resist some light firearms. 44
• Transformed Level 6 Aliens possess steel-hard bodies that even rifle armor-piercing rounds struggle to penetrate. 142
• Mid-level Aliens can be difficult to kill even with heavy firearms and may require spiritual-power-controlled weapons or Martial Artist techniques. 154 158
• Low-level Alien blood is highly corrosive, while unattended corpses can contaminate the environment with chaotic and murderous energy. 43 135

Relationship with Humanity

• Humanity — Aliens are humanity's primary otherworld enemy. Martial Artists and soldiers fight them to protect Blue Star, while ordinary civilians are advised to flee upon encountering one. 2 44
• Altered Humans — Distinct from naturally occurring Aliens: Altered Humans are humans fused with Alien bloodline genes. Their bloodlines can be controlled by high-level Aliens, and they cannot continue normal martial arts cultivation after fusion. 30 75
• Alien Organization — A terrorist organization formed by surviving super-gene soldiers. It cooperates with Otherworldly Creatures, opens spatial rifts, and creates new Altered Humans using Alien bloodline gene serums. 31 67 78
• Blue Star military — Captures and deploys controlled Aliens for training and containment purposes, but regulations prohibit subdued Aliens from entering human society. 118 161 181
