The Demon Tide Returns, Wizard Traces, and the Realm of the Faithless!
However, despite the surprise, this place was clearly not a good place to stay for long.
Levi found more than a dozen Gold Coins on another Ghost Face Mask. This guy was a penniless wretch and looked like Wandering Knight.
As Mid-Rank Knight, carrying so little cash is shameful! In the end, Levi earned a total of over four hundred Gold Coins.
"A horse won't get fat without night grass, and a person won't get rich without unexpected wealth!"
Levi now realized that Forging and farming were nothing compared to robbery! "I can't get carried away. If I rob too much, I'll eventually crash and burn. I should just stay honest and law-abiding."
These people's weapons and equipment could not be wasted, so Levi tied them all up and carried them on his back.
"I didn't want to do it myself, but since you're the Black Mountain Duke's man, there's no need for it," Levi muttered to himself.
Riding the middle-aged nobleman's horse, they headed towards the stronghold of the Voice of the Deathbird.
He quietly made his way into the outpost and found it had been abandoned.
There's no one inside now; it's eerily quiet.
"I wonder what the Voice of the Deathbird is planning next. Is it going to send out Great Knight? Or Five Shadows- level assassins to kill me?"
Unaware of this, Levi rode away from Icewind City under the cover of night.
The gains from this trip far exceeded my expectations. I was just hoping to buy Breathing Technique, but I received an unexpected surprise.
Compared to this unexpected joy, neither the "Giant Rhino Breathing Technique" nor the "Wild Bull Breathing Technique" are worth mentioning.
After safely returning to Blackwater Valley, Levi handed over the weapons and equipment to the Forging department and then eagerly took out the "Spirit Driving Handbook" in the Sanctuary to study it. The ancient Manual on the manual was striking.
While people live under the "Holy Light" of the Heavenly Father and enjoy divine protection, our family is waging an endless and protracted struggle in the shadows against terrifying beings that people regard as mere legends.
Since the beginning of the First Year of Holy Radiance, the once-vanished Demon Tide has been gradually returning. Unfortunately, only our four Four Great Families Four Great Families know the truth. Our ancestors once petitioned the Church, hoping the Church would reveal the truth and pleading with the gods to bring those people back to combat the impending calamity of the Demon Tide. However, the Church regarded our ancestors as "Descendants of Fallen Wizards" who bewitched people and created panic, and from then on, we could only live in darkness.
But I know that one day, when the surging Demon Tide sweeps across this continent, when the multiverse and the world we live in overlap and intersect, those terrifying beings from other dimensions that terrify the Church and even frighten the gods will return. The truth cannot be hidden forever; the world has the right to know the truth, the Church cannot conceal it forever! When more and more people discover that Evil Spirit are among them, the Church will regret its past actions.
The one who can save all of this is neither the gods trapped in the Astral Realm, nor the inactive the Church that pursues fame and fortune.
Rather, they were those who, before the First Year of Holy Radiance, were pressured by the gods and exiled themselves to the "Land of the Faithless"! Wizards!
I, Mann Winchester, the last exorcist of the Winchester Family, and my friend Dean Constantine, the last Exorcist of the Constantine Family, were trapped here while working together to kill a Demon Tide entity from Other Plane. My friend is dead, and I know my days are numbered.
Before we set off, our bloodline descendants were still infants. I inherited my old friend's last wish and passed on my lifelong cultivation and insights into the Four Great Seals of the Constantine Family: the "Flame Stream Seal" and the "Hell Seal," as well as the "Guardian Seal" and the "Dragon Might Seal" of our Winchester Family.
If you are lucky enough to find it, please give it to anyone with the surnames Winchester and Constantine. You will receive a wealth of rewards beyond your imagination. Otherwise, it will be nothing more than a piece of waste paper to you. Remember that!
—Mann Winchester, Holy Radiance Calendar 864, Month of Warmth.
Levi quietly read through the contents of the Manual, word by word.
This small piece of parchment contains an enormous amount of information.
"First of all, this doesn't seem to be the wizarding heritage I imagined, but rather the bloodline of some wizards. What's recorded here isn't spells, but Rune Seal, a Spell-like Abilities ability that can be activated by the bloodline of the descendants and the Casting Material, without the need to construct Spell Model through meditation. It's almost a castrated version of spells, and it can't even be considered a trick. However, judging from the description of the owner of this Manual, if the Rune Seal are cultivated to the highest level, their power is stronger than trickifiers and no weaker than ordinary formal spells."
Secondly, the owner of this Manual mentioned that a mysterious force known as the "Demon Tide" began to revive on this continent a thousand years ago. However, this revival process was extremely long, and creatures like Evil Spirit were deformed beings born from the "Demon Tide Returns" in the human world. This was merely a harbinger of the Demon Tide Returns. Evil Spirit were the weakest of the Demon Tide's creatures; the truly terrifying ones were those terrifying beings that came directly from Other Plane during the planes' convergence. Among these terrifying beings from Other Plane were some that could rival the Astral Realm Gods.
Gods likely exist, but they reside in a wondrous place called the Astral Realm, a chaotic realm formed from pure spiritual projections. These gods live eternally in the Astral Realm, gaining immortality through the Astral Realm, yet are also imprisoned by the Astral Realm, unable to descend into the mortal world. They can only briefly unleash a fraction of their divine power through bridges built by earthly believers, such as the Church, to interfere in the real world. The earthly beings capable of bearing the divine power of these gods are known as Saint. Finally, wizards do exist, but they vanished long before historical records existed, disappearing into a place called the [Land of the Faithless]. Judging from the description of the owner of this Manual, it is a place where even the power of the Astral Realm Gods cannot penetrate.
This place is a subspace independent of the world we live in, a paradise and utopia for wizards. It may be right next to us, but we mortals cannot see it.
Its entrance might be an Nameless alleyway, an abandoned cabin in the woods, a discarded wardrobe, a cave at the bottom of a lake, an ancient mirror, or even a fairy tale book. Things that seem ordinary to mortals could become the physical medium for a warp entrance, and to enter such a place, Formal Wizard is needed as a guide.
"The four great Spirit Banishment Family — the Winchester Family, Constantine Family, Van Helsing Family, and Duncan Family —are the bloodline descendants of four Great Wizard in the mortal world. They are responsible for clearing away demonic forces such as Evil Spirit Demon Tide the mortal realm, as well as finding mortals with wizarding aptitude and contacting Formal Wizard in the Land of the Faithless to take them away."
"Unfortunately, the Duncan Family, known as the ' Monster Slayer,' and the Van Helsing Family Vampire Slayer, known as the 'Vampire Slayers,' disappeared completely five hundred years ago, and there has been no news of them since. As for the Winchester Family, known as the ' Spirit Banishment Master,' and the Constantine Family, known as the ' Exorcist,' it is unknown whether they still have any descendants."
Levi muttered to himself, "The road ahead is now much clearer."
Going directly to those elusive wizards, like the Witch Gulveig and Lady Rowling, is practically impossible.
The only ones that are relatively easy to find are the descendants of these four great families.
The Winchester Family and Constantine Family both had their last heirs more than a hundred years ago, and Levi thinks there's a good chance their descendants are still alive.
Finally, after determining his direction...
Levi was in high spirits, and he focused his attention on the cultivation methods of the four Rune Seal recorded in the Manual.
"Since the Proficiency Panel can ignore the Knight's bloodline curse and learn the Bloodline Breathing Technique, then practicing this Rune Seal should be no problem, right?"
Today's two chapters totaling six thousand words are equivalent to three updates for other authors. The Wizard's Path is about to begin, and the author will strive to write a wizarding novel that is different from the past.
