Snow Eagle Lord
In Icewind City, Levi began a life of seclusion.
Aside from going to the Shining Tavern every day to check on his assigned tasks, he spent most of his time in the inn.
The auction at the end of the month is already generating buzz for his "Leviathan Armor". These past few days, as Levi walks down the street, with his Intermediate Vibration Sense, he can often hear nobles or Knight discussing the "Golden Warhammer".
"I thought the Golden Warhammer was just a flash in the pan, but I never imagined that it was all for six months of hibernation in order to create the Leviathan Armor, this masterpiece!"
"Yes, our master is already raising money for this item. Such a masterpiece, especially Mithril armor, will probably start at 200 Gold Coins. Who can afford that?"
"Tell your master to give up. I heard that Earl Silver Mountain will send someone to attend the auction in person. He's determined to get this Leviathan Armor!"
"What? Even such important figures have been alerted? Then we minor nobles have absolutely no chance."
"That's right. The production of Golden Warhammer Masters is too small. It takes a long time for one to be born each time. Scarcity makes things valuable."
"There's no way around it, that's how masters are. They always strive for perfection and have extremely high standards for their work. Every piece is the result of their whole heart and soul and countless hours of creation. Only when you wear such armor can you feel at ease."
Levi had heard many conversations like this recently.
This shows that the pre-launch promotion for Shining Tavern was quite good, and it seems that my Leviathan Armor can indeed fetch a good price.
There's nothing we can do about it; he's the only Master Smith in the world right now.
However, what Levi was most concerned about was not the price of the Leviathan Armor, but whether he could use the armor to lure out the "serpent".
During this time, Shining Tavern told Levi that several nobles who wished to remain anonymous wanted to commission Terra Master to create custom armor.
Because Levi set a threshold of 500 Gold Coins, this alone would exclude the vast majority of Baron, so these individuals are likely counts or a few wealthy Baron.
After changing his appearance and disguising himself, Levi met with all the clients who needed custom-made items, wearing a mask. From the information he gleaned indirectly, he realized that these people were not the Black Mountain Duke's men and were not his targets.
These people bluntly tried to recruit Levi into their territory, but Levi politely declined.
Levi accepted all their orders, but the delivery time was six months later, giving him ample time to Forging.
The three custom orders were all over 500 Gold Coins each. Levi had already collected 300 Gold Coins in deposits. His earning speed as a Master Smith was faster than that of a group of Forging in his territory.
Of course, these big clients aren't worried that Levi will breach the contract and run away with the deposit. For each master craftsman, the most valuable thing is their reputation, which is the fundamental reason why they are valuable! To put it bluntly, although the master craftsman's skill level far surpasses that of other Forging, it is still not worth so many times the premium.
The premium of a master comes from his reputation and brand value.
Without a good reputation, a master's value will be greatly diminished, and Levi would naturally not do something that would ruin his future.
One day, as Levi passed by a small wooden house, he noticed a snow-white bird perched on the owner's arm. It looked quite beautiful.
It has the appearance of a raptor with a wingspan of over a meter, but it looks listless at the moment, probably due to excessive hunger.
This is a snow eagle, a bird of prey unique to the north, like the Snow Deer.
"I'll buy this snow eagle." Levi had a sudden inspiration. He walked up to the hunter, took out a Gold Coins, and said.
"Huh?" The hunter was dressed in rags and looked malnourished, so it seemed that his hunting harvest hadn't been very good lately.
This snow eagle was his hunting falcon, but due to the severe cold in the north, there were fewer and fewer prey. In the wilderness, he could barely catch a few snow hares, so the hunter was naturally struggling to make ends meet.
"Are you sure?" He took the one Gold Coins from Levi, somewhat incredulous.
"Okay, give me the eagle," Levi said.
"Alright, alright, no take-backs." The hunter took the Gold Coins, took a bite, and closed the door with a grin.
Levi caught the snow eagle, which was healthy but listless because it was hungry.
The hunters themselves were starving, so naturally there was no meat to feed the snow eagles.
Levi had learned eagle taming techniques and was already at the Third-Order Limit Animal Taming.
Upon seeing the snow eagle again, Levi had an idea.
He wanted to tame this snow eagle and make it his pet.
He had met those people Voice of the Deathbird before; they seemed to train crows to deliver messages.
You can train snow eagles yourself; they can also be used to communicate with your territory and to keep watch.
It's important to know that an eagle's field of vision at high altitudes far surpasses that of a human.
Having such a soaring and hovering biological drone, paired with one's Wild Heart, wouldn't that be a perfect match?
"I haven't developed the Wild Heart skill enough. I've been too focused on practicing Breathing Technique. Actually, this seemingly ordinary skill has great value."
Levi reflected on himself and took Xueying back to his residence.
He took out some meat and gave it to the hungry fellow.
Snow Eagle is a falcon, professionally trained, and generally won't eat food given by strangers, unless... it can't resist.
It was so hungry that its professional instincts couldn't resist the temptation of the food, and it began to feast on the ground.
"Eat up, eat more."
Levi continued practicing his Breathing Technique. His Giant Rhino Breathing Technique was almost at the Fifth Order, so he had been focusing on tackling it for the past few days.
Three days later, Xueying had basically let down her guard against Levi and was already able to stand on Levi's shoulders to eat.
Five days later, relying on the Wild Heart.
This falcon, which belonged to someone else, has been completely tamed by Levi.
Although they can't yet achieve the same level of perfect understanding as the Three Brothers, they can still follow basic instructions.
With just a little more time to get used to it, Levi's reconnaissance biological unit, which consumes a piece of meat every hundred kilometers, will be able to soar through the skies and be at his disposal.
And the day of the auction is getting closer and closer.
During this period, a number of Wandering Knight and nobles have been arriving in Icewind City. Some of them came specifically for the "Leviathan Armor" Forging by the Golden Warhammer Master.
The entire Icewind City was suddenly filled with a sense of impending doom because of a Master Smith's Mithril armor.
On this day, a tall figure dressed in heavy armor, wearing an iron helmet, and carrying Sawtooth Sword arrived in Icewind City.
He is none other than the Black Mountain Duke's hidden trump card, the Shark Tooth Knight.
A true Great Knight, he left the Black Mountain Duke's territory half a year ago and came to this Icewind City. He hasn't completed a single one of the three tasks given to him by the Black Mountain Duke...
This made him dare not return to Black Mountain City to report, as he could not bear the Black Mountain Duke's wrath.
The Shark Tooth Knight was in a bad mood. As a Great Knight, he thought completing these tasks would be easy.
Unexpectedly, reality slapped him in the face.
The first task was to find Knight Horton. Through his investigation over this period, he had basically determined that Knight Horton had been murdered, not fleeing to escape punishment; he just hadn't found the killer yet. This happened so long ago, and the Black Mountain Duke is only now giving him the task to investigate—isn't that making things difficult for him? The second task was to find the Golden Warhammer, Shark Tooth Knight also failed to complete. The first thing he did after arriving in Icewind City was to stake out the Shining Tavern, looking for the person wearing the Golden Mask. He waited for a month, but saw nothing; the Golden Warhammer seemed to have vanished in an instant.
He tried to find out the true identity of the Golden Warhammer from the staff at the Shining Tavern, but even though he was Great Knight, the staff at Shining Tavern still "politely declined." He knew that even if the Black Mountain Duke came, it wouldn't make a difference.
So he temporarily abandoned the mission and went to Blackwater Valley to carry out what he considered the simplest task.
What he didn't expect was that this task, which he thought would be the simplest, would become the beginning of his nightmare journey.
He confidently headed to Blackwater Valley with his hired Wandering Knight, but did not encounter Baron Levi. Upon inquiry, he learned that Baron Levi was not in the territory. Naturally, he did not believe it and immediately took action.
He thought that taking over a mere Baron territory would be a piece of cake.
But when the well-trained, fully armed armored cavalry appeared next, even he, Great Knight, was somewhat shocked. This kind of configuration, is this what a damned Baron's domain is like? Even a small earldom is nothing special!
But that wasn't the most shocking thing for him. When the three Northern Giant Bear attacked, he realized just how deep the Blackwater Valley really was.
Someone actually kept Northern Giant Bear in their territory, and what's worse, a three-headed one!
However, all of this was still under the control of the Shark Tooth Knight. He alone terrified the elite cavalry, who fled in panic.
Only Fred and a few others remained, stubbornly resisting due to their numerical advantage. It was only a matter of time before they were wiped out. As the fighting went on, he didn't notice that the two sides had reached the Blackwater River.
Just as he was preparing to capture these people and interrogate them to find out Baron Levi's whereabouts, an unexpected event occurred.
He suddenly felt someone behind him, a wet person!
Countless water plants and dead fish tangled and hung from the person behind her. It was a woman whose body was swollen and who was spitting out water. Her hair was disheveled, and she was terrifying and creepy.
She lay on his back, Shark Tooth Knight felt as if the woman wanted to burrow into his body. For a moment, he felt as if his body no longer belonged to him.
Fortunately, his powerful physique and perseverance as Great Knight allowed him to persist for a long time. In addition, he had a flash of inspiration and used Black Qi to make the woman feel pain, thus temporarily forcing her out of his body.
After that, the Shark Tooth Knight fled that cursed area madly without looking back! Thinking about it now, he felt a chill of fear. If he hadn't been powerful enough, he suspected his body would already be the vessel possessed by that Evil Spirit spirit.
According to legend, some Evil Spirit, unable to dispel their resentment from their previous lives, linger in some gloomy places in the human world, unable to enter the Underworld ruled by the god of death in mythology.
They seek out a host or kill others to replace themselves, thus allowing themselves to enter the Underworld as "scapegoats."
Shark Tooth Knight suspected that he had encountered this type of Evil Spirit. The more powerful the Evil Spirit, the more powerful the scapegoat it needs!
That's why that Evil Spirit attacked him! Damn it! Although Shark Tooth Knight successfully escaped, the aftereffects of the Evil Spirit's invasion still left him weak for a long time. The feeling of being completely drained, as if he had been squeezed dry by a thousand prostitutes, still sent chills down his spine when he thought about it.
Even now, his strength has not fully recovered; he only possesses about two-thirds of his peak strength.
"An ominous place."
This is the Shark Tooth Knight's description of Baron Levi's territory; he suspects that Baron Levi is already dead.
So that Knight Fred was lying; Baron Levi didn't go on a long trip, he died!
The one who has been managing the territory is now Fred, a retainer.
Fred's ambitions were immense. He was secretly amassing troops and undertaking large-scale construction projects, clearly intending to rebel. He had planned to report this matter to the Black Mountain Duke, which would be considered a way of fulfilling his duty.
Unexpectedly, not long after leaving Icewind City, he heard that the Golden Warhammer Master had reappeared in Icewind City, so he turned back.
Shark Tooth Knight's idea was simple: he had to complete at least one of the three tasks before he could hand them in.
This time he must take the Golden Warhammer with him, even if the Heavenly Father comes, he cannot stop him!
In this Icewind City, besides the Silver Mountain Knight and the Church, Sharktooth is invincible! Thanks to 2022...5030 for the 100-coin reward.
