Background / History

Lize was a member of the Starfall Society, a minor Wizard faction distinguished by its alchemical craftsmanship. The society refined Fallen Star City and created its Star Core, an energy device that also monitors energy-particle fluctuations within the city and enables one-way communication with those inside it. The Starfall Society was later destroyed by internal strife. 222 223

After becoming a wraith, Lize initially lacked sufficient power and fell into a long sleep. When she awoke, the Wizards had already departed the Starlight Continent. Seeking a future resurrection, she secretly passed the method for entering Fallen Star City and the Sun Melting Pearl to the Russell Family, hoping that one of its descendants would eventually become a Wizard capable of helping her. She concealed her existence because she did not trust even her own family line with her soul's safety. 222

Sunan discovered her in Fallen Star City after defeating its Squid Puppet guardian. Lize revealed that she was the Russell Family's ancestral Wizard and that her soul was bound to a codex.
