Locke offered Pierre and Lorne a few words of comfort, warned them not to casually take on such missions in the future, then hurriedly left with the sealed Vampire, Howard.
Only then did Pierre and Lorne finally breathe a sigh of relief.
Before leaving, Locke had specifically asked Gabi, a Second-Class Wizard Apprentice, to return with the two of them.
Watching Locke's departing figure, Lorne sighed. "Good thing we have a friend like Locke. Otherwise, we would have been dead for sure this time. If I'd known, I wouldn't have taken that mission. This money isn't easy to earn."
Pierre was still shaken. Whenever he thought of that curse just now, his heart pounded with fear. "Yeah. I'm not coming out anymore."
"I'd rather obediently stick with Locke's Potion Laboratory. One hundred Magic Stones a month is already enough to cover the magical resources I need."
Pierre looked ashamed. "I was too greedy. For more magical resources, I nearly got myself killed."
Lorne looked at him enviously. "You're the lucky one. You have a special constitution, so you can earn so much money so easily."

Pierre reminded him, "How am I lucky? It's because Locke and I are friends that I found a relatively safe place to serve as a test subject. I even get a batch of Memory Ointment for free every month.
