That evening, Locke secretly made his way, as agreed, to a harbor in Lilith's Cottage's port city.

It was one of the many small ports in the port city, a coastal harbor. Beyond the Southeastern Corner Region, simply heading out to sea didn't mean entering the Endless Mysterious Sea.

The coastal waters were still relatively safe.

Even if there were some vicious aquatic magical creatures, they weren't too dangerous.

But once one left the coastal waters, everything changed completely.

The Endless Mysterious Sea was an ocean where even Formal Wizards had to proceed cautiously, with some regions being absolutely forbidden.

It wasn't an ordinary ocean. Beneath its bottomless depths, like the surface of an abyss, countless mysteries lay hidden.

It was said that even ancient marine creatures that had long vanished could appear in the Endless Mysterious Sea if one was unlucky.

Even Wizard Ships controlled by Formal Wizards could be destroyed by some suddenly appearing sea monster, or even an ancient Dragon King.

Or one might be sailing along and encounter a colossal ocean whirlpool as large as a continent. A geological disaster of that scale was enough to kill most wizards trapped within it.

It was a region utterly different from safe land.

The Endless Mysterious Sea seemed to connect different times, spaces, and planes.

Locke had once read records of people who went to sea for three years, accidentally entered some bizarre plane, and only upon returning learned that more than a century had passed in the Prime Material Plane.

But in the coastal waters, it was merely an ordinary sea, perfectly safe.

The vessel at
