That evening, Locke and Claudia returned to their residence at the White Elephant Tower. Wizard Anthony had arranged an exceedingly luxurious and spacious suite for Locke there, one that was considered quite good even within the White Elephant Tower.
At the same time, in the corridor outside the suite, a Formal Wizard from the Plutarch Family ordered four First-Class Wizard Apprentices to carry three large wooden crates to the door of Locke's room.
The Formal Wizard gave Locke a slight bow. "Mr. Augustine, these are gifts from Miss Alicia, compensation for your discussions of Potions with her."
"Please have a look. This is the list."
"If there are no issues, I'll be leaving."
Locke raised an eyebrow and looked over the list. He discovered that the three large crates contained potion ingredients. Some were relatively common, while others were fairly rare, but they had all been prepared in matching sets, making them extremely convenient for a Potion Master to practice with.
In addition, the three crates contained five complimentary recipes for precious potions: [Mist Potion], [Youth Potion], and [Flame's Fury Potion], along with two Abyssal potions—Advanced Abyssal Worm Potion and Tanar'ri's Hand Potion.
At the bottom of the list were a few words Alicia had written to him: "Earlier, on the Airship, I heard Wizard Augustine mention that you needed more First Ring potion recipes and potion ingredients for practice, so I sorted out some ingredients I had no use for and sent them to you."
"As payment, you'll need to continue discussing Potions with me through letters."
Locke looked at the letter and frowned slightly. He said to Claudia, "This is a gift from a friend. Put it away for now."
