Wizard Warwick advised Locke, "You can recite the spell for condensing a reference book that I gave you in the Wizard King Grimoire—the spell for condensing a Patriarch."
"If you mastered the three great Archaeology spells during your apprenticeship, then as long as you recite that spell, I can use a special Archaeology spell to help you condense your first [Patriarch]. For a wizard in the Liquefaction Stage, a blank Patriarch isn't a particularly complicated spell."
"After that, I can copy one-third of the information from my Patriarch onto your blank Patriarch. You'll immediately obtain a Patriarch equivalent to one in the Vaporization Stage, and you'll be able to try mastering a large number of Archaeology spells right away."
As he said this, a trace of imperceptible envy even appeared in Wizard Warwick's voice. Black Wizards weren't exactly known for loving to help others.
When he thought of how much he had paid in his youth to obtain those historical records from the Negative Energy Particle Field, while Locke was about to receive one-third of them immediately, an unavoidable sense of imbalance arose in Wizard Warwick's heart.
But he immediately suppressed his envy, because he knew this was bait—bait he had to cast out and make Locke willingly bite.
The Abyssal Ruins were fraught with danger. Only wizards with an Abyssal Body could enter them, and with Locke's help, Warwick had obtained an Abyss Werewolf body. Originally, he had only one Archaeology friend who could enter the Abyssal Ruins with him.
But if he could bring Locke along, they would have three Archaeology professors entering the Abyssal Ruins together. If he voluntarily gave the information to Locke, Locke might indeed become an Archaeology professor capable of standing on his own
