At the Breeders' public laboratory, Locke exchanged updates on their current progress with Mason Witch and the others.
Mason Witch and the others truly deserved to be called researchers who had already spent more than two years at the Truth Institute. With the topics, research ideas, and preliminary experimental data Locke had given them, each of them needed only a week to complete an analysis of the mechanism pathways of a pineapple-type Magic Plant.
If the three of them had not been slower than Locke at applying for Magic Mirrors, they might have finished even faster.
That meant that, out of the twenty-three pineapple-type Magic Plants, plus the one Locke had recently completed himself, they had finished four in total, leaving only nineteen mechanism pathways to analyze.
Locke was extremely satisfied with their progress.
In other words, they had completed a large portion of the work in just one week.
According to this pace, they would be able to roughly finish half the workload in a month.
He had initially been worried that he would be unable to manage the collection of the key data for all twenty-three pineapple-type Magic Plants by himself. Fortunately, group leader Celt had assigned three colleagues to help him.
Each of the three had more experience using Magic Mirrors than he did for the time being. With his key ideas guiding them, they were each finishing faster than he was.
Freya Witch smiled awkwardly at Locke. "By the way, Locke, I'm sorry. I made a mistake during my previous experiment and used the Structural Comparison Machine one extra time."
"I'm really sorry about that."
Locke nodded. He glanced at the bill they had prepared for him, then directly took out seven Magic Crystal Cards and handed them to the three of them. "It's fine.
