Carter Dunn's dormitory was a gallery covered in magical paintings. There were no flower designs on the paintings, only layers of pigment resembling rainbows.
The authors, titles, and brief introductions were hung beneath the magical paintings.
Based on these introductions, Locke discovered that the various "rainbows" in the paintings seemed to be expressions of some artistic concept. The Rose Council's higher-ups had apparently found those painters and asked them to use the natural colors of various rose-type flowers in combinations, then smear those pigments across the magical paintings to recreate the beauty of those flowers transformed into chaotic pigments.
In other words, these magical paintings truly served little purpose beyond decoration.
Locke had only one evaluation of the magical paintings: "Living in a dormitory filled with an artistic atmosphere is indeed a unique experience."
At that moment, he and Carter entered Carter's simple laboratory. Although Carter thought the laboratory was too shabby, Locke considered it sufficient.
He had already rented ten mu of Magic Field at the Rose Council's market. It was not expensive, since it was rented by the day; he estimated that the whole project would cost only thirty to forty thousand Magic Stones in the end.
At that moment, in the simple laboratory attached to Carter's dormitory, Carter carried out the prototype of the Dream Flower—the Jaeger Rose—from a flowerpot in a remote corner.
That Jaeger Rose was already half-dead.
Perhaps feeling that this was truly too shabby, Wizard Carter coughed awkwardly and explained to Locke, "Maintaining it costs money, so I just found a flowerpot and planted it in there."
"Sorry, Lord Augustine. My room and laboratory are both a little messy."
Locke shook his head slightly.
"Give me your materials."
Carter immediately squatted down and began rummaging through the chaotic materials in his cardboard box.
