Background

Xia Wuji was originally the Young Master of the Sword Pavilion while his father, Xia Xuan, was in seclusion. During that period, Madam Liu diverted much of the Pavilion's resources to Xia Wudao and Xia Wuhui. Xia Wuji was later ambushed, leaving his dantian shattered and his cultivation destroyed. Xia Xuan and Madam Liu then attempted to take the Azure Star Token left by Xia Wuji's mother for Xia Wudao. 1

In his prior life, Xia Wuji survived by falling through a spatial rift into the Heavenly Realm. He repaired his dantian, achieved enlightenment through the sword, and became one of the Heavenly Realm's Ten Great Supremes within a century. His attempt to break through the path to immortality failed when the trauma of his youth produced inner demons during the immortal tribulation. He was subsequently reborn into the period when the Sword Pavilion abandoned him. 1

After his rebirth, Xia Wuji repaired his dantian at the Sword Pool and condensed a Sword Seed. Xia Xuan revoked his position as Young Master, but Xia Wuji left the Pavilion, absorbed the ancestor's Innate Vital Energy, and entered the Monster Suppression Mountain Range to seek the Crimson Jade Blood Ginseng. 2 3

He later returned to the Sword Pavilion, defeated and crippled Xia Wudao, defeated the usurper Xu Yao, and rejected Xia Xuan's pleas for forgiveness. With the family's karma resolved, Xia Wuji turned his attention toward Azure Star Academy and the search for his mother. 19 24
