Power Progression

The documented progression below follows Jiang Liu’s cultivation of Law Power, rather than a separate advancement by Law Power itself.

Nature and Cultivation

• From Rule to Law: Power of Rule follows existing worldly rules. Law Power can develop from Power of Rule together with a cultivator’s techniques and understanding; even a newly devised Law Power remains within the scope of the Nine Great Laws 2017 2021.
• Threshold for God Lord cultivation: A cultivator must sense and initially control Law Power to enter the God Lord First Stage. Skillful use and initial integration with the divine body characterize the Second Stage 2022.
• Physical and mental requirements: Jiang Liu identifies three requirements for his breakthrough: transforming Power of Rule, possessing a body that can bear Law Power, and having sufficient mental power to control it 2245.
• Cultivation-path commitment: A Main God’s technique carries its Law imprint. Jiang Liu concludes that, once branded by a Law at the True God Realm, changing cultivation systems becomes essentially impossible 2962.
• Source Power: Law Source Power is significant to advancement beyond the Unity Realm. The Chaos Sutra can develop Chaos Law Power toward Chaos Law Source Power, but doing so requires a body capable of bearing its pressure 2806 2807 3023.

Properties and Applications

Law Types

• Chaos Law can encompass other Law Powers. Jiang Liu uses that advantage against God Lords whose attacks incorporate more than one Law Power 2294.
• Chaos Void Laws can refine other Law Power for their wielder’s use, potentially strengthening that wielder during combat. Refinement still requires surviving the incoming Law’s force 2890.
• Destruction Law and Life Law are distinct powers. When Life Law grows within Chi Di, it consumes his primary Destruction Law and threatens the foundation of his strength 2743.

Combat and Defense

• Law Power can act without a technique: After Jiang Liu’s Chaos Law Power begins approaching Source Power, nearby void matter shows signs of turning to dust during cultivation alone 2806.
• It can protect its cultivator autonomously: When Jiang Liu cannot mobilize his Law Power during a divine tribulation, the power within him continues protecting him 2899.
• Its supply matters: Prolonged attacks drain Law Power. Trapped True Lords struggle when they cannot replenish it, while Jiang Liu can recover some of his spent Chaos Law Power by killing Fiends in the Other Shore Sea of Blood 2511 2726.

Environmental Limits

• The True World’s previously incomplete Law Power hindered advancement, especially from the Spirit Transformation Realm to the Unity Realm. After the True Realm’s restoration, newly advancing cultivators possess complete Law Power 2701 2794 2806.
• True World Power erodes ordinary Law Power near the passage to the True World. Jiang Liu’s Chaos Law Power resists it, allowing him to remain there and refine that power for cultivation 2387.
• Hostile environments can prevent replenishment: The four Annihilation Devil Race generals cannot replenish their Law Power while fighting Jiang Liu in the void, whereas he can use Law Power rising from the Eternal Domain 2911.
