The Flowing Cloud Sect has a tradition of female leadership: its former sect leaders are all depicted as women. As its current leader, Flowing Cloud Matriarch accepts Jiang Liu as the sect’s unusual male inner disciple and takes an immediate interest in his cultivation after he merges the Flowing Cloud Art with the Star Moon Sect’s art. 272 273

After Jiang Liu reveals the correct Saint Realm advancement sequence—physical tempering, spiritual strengthening, then Primal Qi accumulation—she recognizes that prior cultivation understanding was flawed.
