Although the Sonic Blaster was the Noise Marines' signature weapon, its core function was to use the destructive power and disruptive effects of sound waves to create chaos and inflict damage. Its killing principle was completely different from that of ordinary weapons such as standard bolters. It focused more on delivering a dual assault on the enemy's body and mind through sound waves, causing ringing in the ears, dizziness, and even internal injuries, rather than killing through traditional physical projectiles or energy beams.

The ones responsible were the members of the Crimson Angel Chapter who had successfully broken through and rushed over.

The brothers in front stared in shock at the corpses around them and Quan Tiehua falling backward. Eight Noise Marines had practically been wiped out by him alone.

Was this damn guy still a recruit?

The group then began withdrawing rapidly. The Terminators covering their retreat also withdrew quickly after seeing this, leaving only the Chief Librarian to face the powerful daemon.

Medicine was rapidly injected through the armor, and Quan Tiehua regained consciousness in only a moment. He struggled to sit up and looked toward the Chapter Master, Affos, beside him.

For a moment, he was speechless. The Chapter was still retreating rapidly, but the Chapter Master was now hovering on the brink of death.

Hearing the sounds of battle still erupting in the bridge behind them, gradually growing more distant, Quan Tiehua stopped walking. The people around him also stopped one after another and looked at him in confusion.

"You all go. I planted Melt Bombs throughout the entire bridge and every compartment below it, made from Meltaguns dismantled from the Assault Boat." Quan Tiehua quickly delivered the news, then hurried toward the bridge.

But Chapter Master Affos forcefully grabbed his arm and said, "Come with us. The Chief Librarian is a Psyker. He can teleport back to the warship, so you don't need to worry." His somewhat weak voice and the arm that could barely hold on at all made his frailty clear.

Quan Tiehua said nothing. Instead, he snatched the Power Sword from the Apothecary beside him. "I know. But I have to avenge them."

Chapter Master Affos fell silent. Watching Quan Tiehua receive repairs and treatment from the Tech-Sergeant and Apothecary, he said quietly, "I'm sorry. It was a mistake in my command."

As a Codex Astartes Space Marine, Quan Tiehua's body recovered extremely quickly. After the Tech-Sergeant and Apothecary had given him the most thorough repairs and treatment possible on the battlefield, he stood up at once and looked toward Chapter Master Affos.

"This isn't your fault. It's those vermin in the Imperium. They provided us with false intelligence." He paused, then added, "For the Emperor."

As soon as those words were spoken, every Astartes present immediately straightened and shouted in unison, "For the Emperor!"

"For humanity, I shall remain forever loyal."

He then turned, picked up the Heavy Bolter that had long since been prepared, and charged rapidly toward the bridge.

At that moment, after seeing everyone leave, the Chief Librarian smiled in relief. When that opening had suddenly appeared, the Chapter Master had tried to pull him away with the others. But for the safety of the entire Chapter, he had merely smiled and lied, saying, "I am a Psyker. When necessary, I can teleport directly back to the warship."

That statement was not false, but... the Slaanesh Daemon Prince in the Warp had caused the psychic energy to run wild. Even a Grey Knight would be unable to perform a precision teleport under these circumstances, let alone the Chief Librarian of a fallen Chapter.

"For the Emperor."

As he spoke, he squeezed out the last remaining traces of psychic power in his body and poured them into his hammer before charging toward Daemon Serindal.

"Pitiful, ignorant mortals."

A tentacle lashed out, but halfway through its swing, terrifying bolter fire erupted once more.

Countless Kraken Armour-Piercing Bolter Rounds struck the tentacle. Although the psychic shield blocked them in time, several successive rounds hit the same spot, piercing through the shield and striking the fragile tentacle. Only a few bolter rounds were needed to break it into two pieces.

Red, yellow, and milky-white viscous fluids sprayed across the surrounding floor.

"Emperor... above..."

A crazed roar burst from Quan Tiehua's mouth. In an instant, he shattered the psychic shield surrounding Serindal's entire body, and bolter rounds slammed into him.

This left Serindal utterly shocked. After all, those bolter rounds had previously been unable even to penetrate his shield.

But in this boy's hands, combined with the words he had just shouted, their power had actually doubled. What was more, the rounds striking his body gave him a scorching pain.

It was as if even his soul were being seared and wounded.
