As a Greater Daemon under Khorne, the daemon Papatyr naturally couldn't stand such mockery. He swung the greatsword in his hand, forged from magical metal, and instantly spread his fleshy wings. The gale that erupted as they opened sent dense clouds of dust billowing through the surrounding area like smoke bombs. With one fierce flap, he shot toward the battle line like a cannonball.
The Plaguebearer and Keeper of Secrets saw this and followed without hesitation.
But by the time they caught up, Papatyr's sharp demonic hand was just about to seize Quan Tiehua.
The two Greater Daemons panicked. They each unleashed a psychic attack to block the grab.
After shouting, Quan Tiehua suddenly felt his scalp prickle. He immediately leaped down and shouted, "Get back into the church!"
He had barely taken two steps when a thunderous boom came from behind him. The red daemon Papatyr's massive hand was already within arm's reach.
Quan Tiehua and the Battle-Brothers around him were filled with despair as they faced this situation.
But in the next second, two psychic attacks directly interrupted the process.
The sudden attacks knocked Papatyr off balance, and his thick, terrifying arm crashed straight into the steel floor beside them.
That momentary delay was enough for all the Blood Angels to run into the church behind them. By the time Papatyr shifted his gaze over, he saw only the doors, already halfway closed.
The one pushing those doors shut was none other than their target.
When Quan Tiehua sensed the daemon's gaze, he immediately met it and gave him a thumbs-down.
Then, under Papatyr's twisted face and furious stare, he slammed the doors shut.
He had just raised his greatsword, intending to hack the two obstacles behind him to death, when a voice from High Heaven made him stop in his tracks and suppress the rage in his heart.
He swung his sword violently, chopping the doors into pieces. But the fury in his heart still hadn't faded. He glanced at the lowly daemons and Chaos Astartes who had followed close behind, then casually slapped them all into a mess of bloody paste.
Afterward, he took a long breath, feeling the pent-up frustration vanish completely.
He glared at the two Greater Daemons behind him, then violently beat his fleshy wings and flashed into the church's middle level. Immediately afterward, he charged straight forward, smashing through the church's sturdy wall and collapsing a mural above depicting Imperial Angels battling daemons of the Warp.
As he crashed inside, he even plowed through several rooms in succession, breaking through one wall after another.
Then...
Then he looked with satisfaction at the fear in the Astartes' eyes.
But why... was there also a trace of disbelief mixed into that fear?
What true warriors!
At that moment, all the Blood Angels fell silent. The oppressive feeling of facing a Greater Daemon of the Warp vanished without a trace.
In the next second, everyone's eyes turned toward the still-bewildered Quan Tiehua.
Quan Tiehua hadn't expected this fellow to arrive so quickly, much less land so precisely beneath the trap.
The coincidence was so absurd that he was completely dumbfounded!
For some reason, when the daemon Papatyr looked at the expressions on these little tin cans' faces, he sensed something faintly strange.
But as a subordinate of Khorne, the most brainless brute in the Warp, he was naturally even more brainless himself.
He simply reached out and grabbed at Quan Tiehua.
Quan Tiehua had already reacted. He hurriedly clicked the "Yes" button on the panel.
He clicked it so frantically that his face twisted, and he even muttered to himself, "Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes."
The next moment, a beam of light flashed into existence. A huge sphere of light rapidly expanded, enveloping everyone in the entire battle group.
Even Papatyr's entire body, including the part that had already touched Quan Tiehua, was wrapped inside it.
Once the sphere of light had expanded enough to encompass every member of the battle group, it instantly contracted like a deflating balloon.
It shrank into a single point of light and vanished. The surrounding air churned madly, whipping up fierce winds. It was as if the appearance of the sphere had carried away all the air in that area.
The daemons, Plaguebearer, and Keeper of Secrets left behind stood frozen in place. At that moment, even the hatred that had driven them to fight one another to the death disappeared without a trace.
Immediately afterward, countless Melt Bombs and grenades exploded, blasting the daemons and Chaos Astartes that had poured into the church into scattered fragments.
When the explosions ended, the surviving forces of the three sides glanced at one another. Suspicion filled their eyes, and the daemon armies of Nurgle and Slaanesh immediately drew their blades and attacked Khorne's forces.
But only a few seconds after they launched their attack,
a majestic figure from High Heaven seemed to issue a divine oracle in a voice like a great bell: "God said, 'Let there be light...'"
An unstoppable light burst from above their heads in an instant.
Countless daemons and Chaos Astartes were vaporized on the spot. The Plaguebearer and Keeper of Secrets, the two Greater Daemons, held out with all their strength and resisted the attack.
But they still suffered severe injuries in an instant. Their bodies were covered in charred, burned flesh.
Before the attack had even faded,
the majestic figure from High Heaven seemed to issue another divine oracle: "God said... let there be countless lights."
In that instant, the two Greater Daemons exchanged a sympathetic glance. They saw deep despair in each other's eyes.
At that moment, inside the Warp, the gods who had been fighting one another to the death were all utterly bewildered. They stared at each other, unsure how to explain what had happened.
Even the Emperor, who had been preparing to personally enter the fray, kept looking around anxiously, glancing left and right.
Little Blue Bird, sprawled outside the battlefield, had its several eyes opened wide. Its entire bird face was filled with bewilderment. "This plan... all right, this is a change." It sighed, then casually waved a hand and opened a book it had kept hidden for who knew how many years, beginning to search for an answer.
"Dig three feet underground if you have to, but find him for me." Of them all, only Khorne was the most furious. Although he admired the courage to face him directly, he still couldn't tolerate such actions and words of affront.
Once this order was issued, all of Khorne's daemons in the Warp began rushing through Warp Teleportation Gates toward the real world.
The other Evil Gods were unwilling to fall behind. Their respective daemon armies also entered the real world one after another.
The disturbance even attracted the attention of other forces in the Warp, such as Magnus the Red, who was currently fighting, and Vastor, who was researching a new Daemon Engine.
Even a small section of the Hive Mind's tendril that had originally been turning away began drifting back toward this place once again.
Looking at the chaotic scene, the Emperor standing there helplessly rubbed his forehead. After all, this boy's soul was different from that of the other humans here. To protect him, the Emperor had even invested a tremendous amount in him from the moment he appeared until now.
But who could have expected that the threads of fate, forever impossible to control or fathom, would be so skilled at playing tricks on people?
Everyone, everyone, it has been confirmed that this is the plot of Pacific Rim 1. I'm planning to land in Little Japan's Yasukuni Shrine and hit it with something huge. How would you like to see it handled? If you have requests for this big strike against Little Japan, feel free to make them! Just don't make me get the book banned.
