Just as he had said before, some people were destined to have extraordinary minds. Once they believed in something, not even a Mobile City could pull them back.
Unfortunately, sometimes their way of thinking did not belong to this era. That was the sorrow of a philosopher.
Warfarin: "..."
So why did all of you look so serious? What were you talking about, and what was going to happen in the future?
Wasn't there a narrator who could explain this to me?!
Because of certain unspeakable issues, absent-minded Warfarin had been completely excluded from the conversation.
It wasn't that she couldn't understand it at all. She could understand it, but only a little.
Anyway, all she needed to know was that her man was amazing—amazing enough to make even the Banshee Royal Court Lord marvel.
After dinner, Huang Cao, who had theoretically worked for a while longer, was ready to enjoy a beautiful evening.
That evening, Lamian lay on the soft bed, lost in thought.
The conversation that afternoon had truly frightened her.
Would the two princesses really come into conflict? But clearly...
Unable to sleep, Lamian planned to go to the castle's viewing platform for some fresh air. However, when she drew back the curtains, the dazzling golden light in the sky made her retreat a step.
Through the light, the Banshee inadvertently noticed that the door to Huang Cao and Warfarin's room seemed to be open.
Curiously, she glanced inside and discovered that there was no one there.
Perhaps the surroundings were simply too quiet...
But after Lamian's mood settled, she faintly heard a strange noise in the corridor.
It seemed to be coming from far away from her room. Was something speaking?
The voice sounded like Warfarin. Was she still awake?
But why did the voice carry a hint of sobbing...
"Ark, Starting from Living Together with Chen"

Chapter 62: Lamian: I Made a Mistake
What were those two doing?
Lamian had always felt that the two of them were hiding from her. Was there something she wasn't allowed to see?
She was really curious...
Driven by curiosity, this Banshee Queen, who had never experienced any growth, couldn't help peeking into the room.
The instant she directed her gaze inside, Lamian grew tremendously.
Her body did not change physically in the slightest, but she underwent a transformation on a spiritual level.
Huang Cao and Miss Warfarin were actually...
Lamian felt a little incredulous, but she immediately understood.
It made sense, after all. Those two had been partners from the very beginning.
And to avoid disturbing her rest, they had even deliberately gone somewhere more remote.
But none of that was important!
What mattered was that, in the instant she peeked inside, she was deeply shocked by the strength contained within the young man.
Miss Warfarin really was happy~
She was truly happy, both spiritually and physically.
Although Warfarin's voice in the room carried a hint of sobbing, Lamian concluded after some consideration that she was crying tears of joy.
Realizing that she seemed to have seen something she shouldn't have, Lamian hurriedly jogged all the way back to her room.
Fortunately, the two being watched had already sunk into their own world and had not noticed Lamian's visit.
However, after the latter returned to her room, her already complicated feelings became even harder to...
She couldn't forget it. She really couldn't forget it!
Lamian felt as though the air around her had grown hot, and an abnormal flush rose to her face.
The scene in the room kept replaying in her mind, lingering for a long time.
For a fleeting moment, she even recalled the sight of the young man massaging her in Banshee River Valley more than a decade ago.
Yet what was happening in the other room seemed to have little "difference" from the massage the young man had once given her.
Back when Lamian received Huang Cao's services, she had only been wrapped in a thin veil. Sometimes, she had even lain face-down on the massage table with nothing but a bath towel around her.
During the hot summer, she had wrapped only her lower body for convenience. Since she was lying face-down, she could not exactly cover her upper body while having her back massaged.
In a sense, all the two of them had needed to do back then was turn over, and they could have faced each other completely bare.
But they had never turned over all those years, to the point that Lamian felt it no longer mattered.
She had not felt particularly embarrassed at the time, either.
It was just that Huang Cao was a little closer to Warfarin now, and he was not merely using both hands to massage her...
"I feel like something's wrong with my body."
As she thought about the scene in the room, Lamian gradually felt her body grow hot. Memories of the days she had spent with Huang Cao kept drifting through her mind.
Slowly, in the silent castle...
Lamian could no longer endure the strange feeling in her heart. She gradually released her hearing, changing from being unable to hear the sounds in the room to hearing them as if they were circling right beside her ears.
Although anyone using Originium Arts inside Eden would be subjected to extremely powerful suppression, she was still the Lord of the Royal Court. Enhancing her ability to receive sounds was easy enough.
She was merely curious. She was really only curious!
Listening for a while out of curiosity was all!
Lamian kept using almost nonsensical excuses to deceive herself, but no matter how her thoughts lied to her, her body's instinctive reactions told her what true honesty was.
Especially since Warfarin and Huang Cao, who had not seen each other for a month, were next door—their battle lasted far longer than she had imagined.
By the latter half of the night, under the torment of those sounds, she was finally close to breaking. Her eyes grew unfocused, and she could barely control her own limbs.
So she made a mistake.
Three people were destined to lose sleep that night.
Take Kal'tsit as an example. Even if that big cat stood there and watched, she probably wouldn't react at all.
Although Kal'tsit had never experienced it herself, thirty thousand years of experience had made her skin thicker than a city wall. She might even have had the mood to write an observation report.
The next morning.
"What a mess..."
Lamian felt that the strange noises in the castle had finally stopped, but those sounds had left her in an utterly miserable state the previous night.
She had even made an exceptionally indecent display of herself. For a moment, she had begun to wonder whether she was even herself anymore.
But what should she do now?
Lamian looked at the bedclothes she had soiled, momentarily at a loss.
She had become too engrossed the previous night and accidentally dirtied them. If someone found out, she couldn't exactly say that she had drooled in her sleep, could she?
She would just have to take things one step at a time...
After washing up, Lamian slowly went downstairs. The newly hired maids in the castle had already prepared a sumptuous breakfast.
The other two had been waiting downstairs for some time. Warfarin listlessly drank hot water, her face flushed, as though she had just gone through an intense battle.
Huang Cao wore an expressionless face and even looked at Warfarin as if she were a minnow.
After taking a sip of water, the latter glared back fiercely.
Huang Cao: What a minnow~ A dignified vampire said she was going to drain me dry, but in the end, she got absolutely nothing out of me~
Warfarin: Just you wait!
Although they did not say it aloud, Lamian still deciphered this information from their exchanged glances.
What a loving couple...
"Sister Lamian, you look quite well this morning. Did you sleep well last night?"
As a doctor, Warfarin immediately noticed the flush on Lamian's face. Her complexion looked excellent, so she must have slept well.
It seemed she and Huang Cao had not disturbed the other's rest yesterday. Otherwise, it would have been too embarrassing.
Can I say I didn't sleep at all?
Lamian felt that she had no grounds to complain, whether practically or psychologically.
After all, the two of them had deliberately chosen a quiet place the previous night to take her feelings into consideration.
If Lamian had not actively used Originium Arts, there was no way she could have heard anything.
Before eating, the three of them exchanged their usual banter. Halfway through the meal, Lamian remembered the day's schedule—and the bedsheets still upstairs.
If she did not resolve this before noon, she would definitely be found out!
After breakfast, Lamian took advantage of some small talk and tried to buy the bedding she had slept on the previous night.
"I'll send a new set over to you another day," Huang Cao said generously.
"No, no, there's no need to go to so much trouble. Besides, it'll take time to deliver a new one to me."
Lamian had originally planned to buy it with money. After all, soiling someone else's belongings was her responsibility.
"It might be a little expensive," Huang Cao said casually.
With that single sentence, he immediately made the Banshee abandon the idea of buying it.
Given the extravagance of this castle, "a little expensive" might amount to several months of income for Banshee River Valley.
Lamian felt somewhat guilty as she struggled to maintain a gentle smile.
"Then I'll accept it gratefully."
Since things had come to this, she would take the bedding home first and figure out the rest later...
She would find an opportunity to compensate Huang Cao in the future...
Happy New Year! I wish everyone good fortune, success, and the fulfillment of all your wishes in the coming year! 2
Chapter 63: The Newly Ennobled Nobles Are Once Again Treated as Tools
"These blankets feel quite a bit heavier. Were they always this heavy?"
Near noon, several maids carrying the goods could not help grumbling.
Lamian lowered her head awkwardly while secretly slipping them several silver coins.
Having received the benefit, the maids did not dare say much more. They simply worked harder to load the gift from their lord onto the pack-beast cart.
"Sister Lamian, are these blankets and bedsheets really that comfortable?"
The Banshees accompanying her curiously placed the bedding inside the carriage. One of them tried to dive straight onto it, but Lamian intercepted her in midair.
"It's dirty. Wait until we wash it at home before lying down."
"It looks pretty clean to me."
"Be good and listen. I'll make you something delicious when we get home."
Lamian breathed a sigh of relief. After dealing with the young Banshee she had brought along, she sighed at the thought that she would finally avoid social death later.
But after leaving Eden, she kept feeling as though something was missing. There was an emptiness inside her body that would not go away.
"What's a telephone? Could it be some kind of Originium machine that can transmit messages?"
