Background / History

Lamian became a hero and the Lord of the Royal Court before leading her Banshee kin to a new river-valley home granted by Theresia. She approved of the land for its low Originium concentration and favorable environment, unaware at first that Huang Cao had already altered much of the area. 1

She initially approached Huang Cao with caution when he entered the valley in human form, but his medical treatment, labor, and assistance steadily won over both Lamian and her people. Although she considered him trustworthy, she continued observing him before fully lowering her guard. 5 6

As leader, Lamian focused on giving the Banshees time to recover from war, rebuild their population, and live peacefully rather than pursuing technological development. She later became Huang Cao's intermediary in trade with Kazdel, recognizing that he was using the partnership to acquire resources but judging that his efforts genuinely improved life for his people. 15

Her loyalty was initially divided between Huang Cao and Theresia.
