Background

Kal'tsit previously commanded a multinational coalition during its invasion of Kazdel. The invasion left her widely hated among the Sarkaz; Teresis beheaded her, though her immortality allowed her to return after death. The consequences of the war remain central to her guilt and to Kazdel's hostility toward her. 1 16 39 77

After awakening, she returned to Kazdel to investigate the altered landscape and the apparent weakening of the Originium Project. Crossing from barren Victoria into Huang Cao's territory, she discovered lush vegetation, purified water, and a golden tree more than six hundred meters tall that suppressed Originium-related power. 16 17 33

She initially infiltrated Eden in disguise, but Huang Cao's plant-based surveillance detected and repeatedly hindered her. Rather than flee, she applied to his teacher-recruitment program under a false identity, passed examinations in eight subjects, and was employed to teach them all. Huang Cao later gave her the alias “Kaitian Cat.” 16 17 18

Appearance

Kal'tsit is a green-haired Feline whose ears make her recognizable even when concealed. Her appearance is often hidden because many Sarkaz recognize her as the coalition commander who invaded Kazdel. 16 17

  • Usually wears a hood, veil, mask, or cloak when travelling through Kazdel. 16 17 52
  • Worked in Eden in a maid uniform; her attire became progressively less formal during her long service there. 18 123
  • Has been described as possessing multiple tails, including nine tails at one point. 83 98
  • Can assume unusual forms, including a Spine Dragon form and a “monster form.” 178 357

Personality

Kal'tsit is highly knowledgeable, composed, and calculating. Her long life has given her extensive historical and scientific knowledge, though she admits limits in economics and military strategy. She is observant enough to see through political manipulation, but her concern for Kazdel and Theresia repeatedly leaves her vulnerable to Huang Cao's schemes. 16 53 75 78

Despite her former role in the invasion of Kazdel, she develops a genuine attachment to the land and wants the Sarkaz to learn from their destruction. Theresia's offer of “a home” affects her deeply and becomes a turning point in her loyalty to Kazdel. 34 39 53

Her time in Eden gradually changes her priorities. The hundred-year maid contract relieves her of the burden of acting as Terra's perpetual crisis manager, while her feelings for Huang Cao grow from fascination and conflict into an openly affectionate partnership. 76 83 140 153

Immortality and Revival

  • Was beheaded by Teresis but later returned to Kazdel. 1 16

  • Her planned public death was intended to absorb Sarkaz resentment and allow her to atone for the invasion of Kazdel. 140 141 176

  • Travelled through Kazdel and Victoria to gather intelligence on political and economic developments. 39 52 66
