Palma Garden Restaurant.

"Adam!"

When Chandler saw Adam arrive, he couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief.

"Don't touch it."

Adam stopped Aurora from reaching out to touch it and helped her up. "Touching or pulling it out now could cause greater tissue damage. Keep it like this for now, get in my car, and we'll talk about it when we get to the hospital."

After saying that, Adam noticed that Chandler's zipper was undone at some point, and Adam lips twitched involuntarily. He already had some guesses in his mind. "Chandler, are you alright?"

"I?"

Chandler recovered from his panic, and this reminder made him feel a dull ache all over his body. He involuntarily hunched over, his face showing pain.

"Sorry."

Aurora, with a fork stuck in the right side of her neck, looked apologetic and pitying.

"Caroline, help her."

Adam was startled and went to check on Chandler. He saw Chandler clutching his groin, looking pained and barely able to stand. Adam didn't have time to be coy and simply picked him up in a princess carry, quickly heading out of the restaurant.

Aurora was not in any serious condition and was being supported by Caroline, following closely behind.

Once in the car, Caroline drove off, stepping on the gas towards the nearest New York University Medical Center.

On the road.

"What exactly happened?"

Adam, supporting Chandler, asked.

"It's all my fault."

Aurora apologized.

"No."

Curled up like a shrimp, Chandler endured the pain and said, "It's my fault."

"It was my fault."

"No, it's my fault."

"..."

Seeing the two of them exuding a cloying, romantic vibe, Adam couldn't help but interrupt, "Alright, you're both at fault. Quickly tell me what happened. We'll have to tell you when we get to the hospital anyway, so let's clarify things now to save time."

Then, as Chandler and Aurora talked back and forth, the complete story came back to him.

It turned out that Adam had told Chandler about Aurora's desire for group sex. Chandler jokingly said he didn't care since no one would lose out, but he was still secretly hurt.

Back at the table, after Caroline left, he sarcastically rejected Aurora on Adam's behalf once again.

Aurora, Experienced Women knows the world well, understands the principle of "admitting mistakes and kneeling in apology." Under Chandler's incredulous gaze, the cutlery "accidentally" fell to the ground.

Chandler looked left and right, very worried that others would look over, but he didn't immediately and firmly stop Aurora from picking up the cutlery, or simply get up and leave the table.

Compared to Aurora's incredible experiences that she could talk about all night without repeating herself, the most thrilling thing she ever did in the first half of her life was missing her subway stop and running around Brooklyn before finally making it back alive.

Now, his life is about to be marked by a momentous change, and he simply doesn't have the willpower to stand up again.

Everything was normal at first. He gasped for breath and looked around, his heart filled with emotion, and he completely forgave Aurora.

But to everyone's surprise, Aurora suddenly felt a pang of anxiety and spoke against her true feelings.

Chandler's duplicity caused him immense suffering. In his agony, he grabbed a fork from the table and stabbed it down hard, striking Aurora squarely in the neck.

Then, seeing the gleaming fork on Aurora's neck, Chandler was terrified and momentarily forgot his own pain, shouting for help.

"You guys are really something."

Adam was speechless.

"Giggle."

Aurora suddenly laughed.

"Hehe, ouch."

Chandler laughed along, then tugged at his wound and cried out in pain.

"You guys are so optimistic."

Adam exclaimed.

If it were him, he would have been overwhelmed by the psychological trauma by now, and he wouldn't be able to force a smile while in pain.

"What's this?"

Aurora laughed and said, "Back then, when Rick and I were crossing Israel lines, bullets hit our car, but we still made it through safely."

"This is our exciting adventure."

Chandler couldn't help but say.

"Certainly."

Aurora knew Chandler's mindset all too well and immediately gave him a positive answer, just as she had given to other men before.

Adam's lips twitched; he really wanted to throw Chandler off the platform—it was too embarrassing.

We arrived at the hospital.

In the emergency department, this eye-catching design immediately attracted the attention of the interns rotating through the area, who swarmed around it.

Finally, after being stopped by the resident doctor and having clarified the situation, two interns were assigned to take Chandler and Aurora to the ward.

The fork around Aurora's neck looked intimidating, but it was easily pulled out.

Chandler's situation was more complicated. His wound was quite private, and after some refusals and explanations, he was examined in an awkward and uncomfortable manner. Fortunately, it was alright. Since he couldn't move easily after the treatment, he was temporarily admitted to the hospital.

"Madam, you need to have an electrocardiogram, echocardiogram, and cardiac enzyme tests."

The resident doctor came over, examined the wounds treated by his interns, glanced at the medical records, and gave a reminder.

"Why?"

Aurora was taken aback.

"You said that you felt a sudden jolt in your heart and your mouth couldn't be controlled."

The resident doctor explained, "In this situation, it's best to have a heart check-up or even a full-body check-up first to ensure the body is healthy."

"Is she alright?"

Lying in his hospital bed, Chandler asked with concern.

"Whether there is a problem or not can only be determined after inspection."

The resident doctor said in a very formal and methodical manner.

Aurora had no choice but to follow the procedure and undergo the examination. Then, she saw the resident doctor leading over a doctor who was in his fifties, short in stature, and had a stern face.

"This is Dr. Green. Leonard Green, he is the Attending Physician in our Cardiothoracic Surgery and is in charge of your case."

"Hello, Dr. Green, do I have a heart problem?"

Aurora tensed up.

Dr. Leonard Dr. Green gestured for one of the interns to answer, explaining that this was a characteristic of teaching hospitals, designed to train interns into actual doctors.

The intern, holding an electrocardiogram and color Doppler ultrasound, rattled off a bunch of technical terms, leaving Aurora completely bewildered.

"Please speak English, okay?"

Chandler shouted.

"Her heart is dying."

Adam, having read many medical books, understood the explanation and helped to clarify.

"Good."

Dr. Green. Leonard Green glanced at Adam in surprise, then nodded with a stern expression and said, "The patient's heart is dying and he needs a heart transplant. However, he needs to register first and wait in line at the organ Transplant Center for a match. The surgery can only be performed when a suitable heart becomes available."

"No, no way! How could this happen!"

Chandler exclaimed in disbelief.

"My heart is broken, it's going to die?"

Aurora murmured in a daze.

Adam watched this scene with a sigh.

Unexpected shocks and heartbreaking separations are commonplace in hospitals. He had witnessed many such incidents while volunteering at the hospital, but this was the first time he had seen them so closely.

It wasn't for Aurora's sake, but Chandler's shock and pain deeply moved him as a friend.
