An Illicit Affair
The next day.
Early in the morning.
Because Karen used her innate ability to predict that it would rain today, Adam and his two companions got up very early, preparing to complete the hunt before the rain started.
Many animals came out to forage in the early morning.
Adam and his companions soon spotted a herd of deer, a dozen or so large and small deer grazing on the grass, occasionally raising their heads and pricking up their Sheldon to watch their surroundings warily.
"How about we compare it to a female deer today?"
Adam chuckled softly.
"I'll do it!"
Juno nodded and aimed at a female deer without antlers.
"Clear!"
"Clear!"
After a series of almost obsessive-compulsive checks, Juno pulled the trigger.
Bang!
A gunshot rang out!
The deer herd scattered in fright.
Adam saw from afar that the doe Juno had targeted let out a mournful cry, but did not fall down immediately. Instead, it ran away into the distance at a slow pace.
"I messed up."
Juno smiled sheepishly.
Obviously, not everyone can be as steady as Adam; the first time is always full of uncertainty.
"You hit her, she's injured, let's follow."
Adam reminded him.
"Good."
Juno and Karen followed Adam, chasing after the doe.
The direction they were heading.
Not far away.
There is a lake.
Two tents were pitched by the lake.
It's obvious that someone is camping here.
United States are passionate about travel and adventure, and their camping culture has never been out of fashion. Even a group of homebodies like Leonard, Howard, and Rajesh would go camping overnight to observe a meteor shower, not to mention the various United States youths in movies and TV shows who love to indulge themselves and risk their lives.
In the jungle near the tent, under a large tree, a pair of Wild Lovers were enjoying the freedom of sleeping under the open sky, deeply grateful to God for giving them such a wonderful life.
At the crucial moment, a gunshot rang out!
Then came the charge of the fleeing deer herd.
"OMG!"
"Shit! Shit! Shit!"
With a scream, the two took off running out of the jungle.
The men are even starting to disregard the women.
This may seem a bit exaggerated, but hearing gunshots in the dense forest, of course you'd run as far away as possible. This is the happy America, and the man is African American, so he's even more sensitive to gunshots.
It's important to know that African Americans are several times more likely to be shot in the United States than white people.
A jogger was mistaken for a robber and shot dead by a passerby who was trying to "help" him.
A true hero who tries to help others might be mistaken for a violent thug and shot dead by the arriving police.
Even if you stay at home, you might still be mistaken for a thief and shot dead by the police who mistakenly went up one flight of stairs to the wrong house.
More importantly, if you die, it's all for nothing.
Perhaps the family members who receive a huge compensation will hug the murderer and say with emotion, "I forgive you, and he will forgive you too. Forgiveness is a virtue, because it is what God wants him to do."
Damn it!
He didn't! Impossible! Don't talk nonsense!
Life is tough; only by being vigilant can we live longer and breathe in the sweet scent of freedom more often.
Therefore, he ran even faster.
"What happened?"
The people inside the tent had obviously heard the gunshots, were jolted awake, and, finding their bedmates missing, hurriedly came out.
"Ryan?"
"Niki?"
A man and a woman emerged from their respective tents, calling out to their lovers.
"Ryan isn't here?"
"Niki isn't here either?"
The two exchanged a glance, both feeling a shadow in their hearts. However, a look of realization flashed across the man's eyes, and then he stared at the girl with burning eyes.
The girl unconsciously frowned and turned to the side, blocking the man's overly blatant gaze.
Just then, a male and female duet of 'GOD! shit!' came from the sound. The two looked in the direction of the sound and saw a man and a woman running towards them as if their lives depended on it.
The man by the tent immediately revealed a meaningful smile.
Snap!
The woman by the tent waited until the African American man Ryan, ran to her side, then raised her hand and slapped him across the face.
"Heather, what are you doing?"
Ryan grabbed the woman's arm and roared angrily.
What am I going to do?
Heather retorted angrily, "Look what you and Niki have done?!"
Ryan then realized that he wasn't wearing a shirt. He turned to look at Niki and found that she was even more disheveled, with her denim shorts nowhere to be found.
With such obvious evidence, everyone knows what they did, and there's no way to clear their name.
"Heather, I'm sorry."
Niki, the best friend who had cheated on her, weakly apologized. "We acted on impulse."
"Yes, it was just a moment of impulse, this is the first time, I swear!"
Ryan quickly swore an oath.
"You've gone too far."
Another man spoke up, "Are we not enough for you, Heather and I? That you would do something like this?"
"David, brother, I'm sorry."
Ryan said apologetically.
He and David are good buddies, Heather and Niki are best friends, and they even played matchmaker for David and Niki.
"You're just after excitement?"
David's eyes darted around, and he gave Ryan a wink.
Ryan was taken aback, then immediately understood what 'good buddy' meant, and his anger flared up.
They want to make a trade!
Dream on!
His girlfriend, Heather, was top-notch in both looks and figure, especially her figure. She could make a normal short-sleeved shirt look like a crop top, making every man who saw her feel thirsty and aroused.
While Niki is also good, her only advantage is her flamboyance; she can't compare to Heather.
He was just trying it out and didn't care at all.
Now this bastard David actually wants to use this incident to get his hands on Heather, and he even wants David's help?
Normally, he would have rushed up and smashed David's face in half with a single punch.
But now...
"We're fucked!"
Heather was furious at being betrayed by both her boyfriend and best friend, and declared loudly.
Ryan panicked and began to pester Heather, begging her that he truly loved her.
After all, where else could he find a girlfriend of this caliber?
Unfortunately, despite hearing the same old lines from various men over and over again, Heather still refused to forgive them. She simply packed her things and prepared to leave.
Left with no other choice, Ryan could only nod dejectedly when David raised a finger, hoping he could persuade him to stop.
"Heather, don't get agitated."
David came over and advised, "I believe they were just acting on impulse. They're young men and women, it's normal. Let's give them another chance."
As he spoke, he gave Niki a wink.
"Heather, I was wrong."
With tears streaming down her face, Niki hugged Heather tightly. "We've been best friends for so many years, I shouldn't have let you down, but I really didn't mean to. You can punish me however you want, just please forgive me this once."
Ryan, overwhelmed by the fear of losing Heather, knelt down at Heather feet, hugged one of Heather legs, and wept.
"Get out of my way!"
Heather angrily tried to push the two despicable people away, but she couldn't budge them.
"How about I give David to you this time?"
Prompted by David, Niki offered what seemed like a fair and reasonable suggestion. "Let's call it even, and we can still be best friends!"
Heather stared wide-eyed at her best friend in disbelief, then looked down at her cheating boyfriend, who said with a pained expression, "As long as you're willing to forgive me, I have no objection."
"An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, that's fair."
David spoke in a serious tone, his eyes burning with a terrifying intensity.
"You!"
Heather suddenly felt a sense of fear.
