Forcing in Extra Scenes
Seven days later.
520 Apartment.
"Adam, do you know any good places for a date nearby?"
When Ross came in and saw Adam, his eyes lit up.
"Well."
Adam thought for a moment and mentioned a few places.
"They're all too high-end."
Ross frowned and asked, "Is there anything a little cheaper?"
Who are you dating?
Monica asked curiously.
"It must be that insect girl."
Phoebe exclaimed, "He's mentioned her so many times already!"
"Her name is Celia, not Insect Girl."
Ross said speechlessly, "She's the head of our museum's insect department."
"She didn't sleep with you, did she?"
Adam laughed.
"Of course not."
Ross exclaimed with a look of disgust.
"Any plans?"
Rachel teased.
"It's just about having dinner, and then taking her to my apartment to see my monkeys."
Ross said.
"Gentlemen, what he said was not a metaphor."
Chandler quipped, "He really did invite her to see his monkey."
"Hahaha."
Everyone burst into laughter.
Ross has a monkey named Marcel, and like Rajesh's dog 'Little Marcel' in The Big Bang Theory and Robin's five big dogs in How I Met Your Mother, the relationship between owner and pet is very close.
The various interactions were astonishing.
"It doesn't matter to the restaurant."
Adam laughed and said, "It mainly depends on your personal charm, and of course, your monkey~"
"Hahaha."
Everyone burst into laughter again.
"I'm leaving."
Ross rolled his eyes, turned around and left.
This was his first proper date since his divorce, so he naturally wanted to plan it carefully; he didn't want to mess it up.
"OMG! You can't believe what just happened!"
Joey pushed the door open and shouted as he entered.
"What?"
"Monica asked."
"My agent called me and arranged for me to act in Al Pacino's new film."
Joey exclaimed, "Six years! My career is finally about to set sail!"
"Al Pacino?"
"The Godfather?"
"Scent of a Woman?"
"OMG! He's a superstar!"
Everyone gasped in surprise.
Congratulations!
Adam was somewhat surprised; he only remembered that Joey had acted in soap operas before, and he never expected that he would get a role in a superstar movie now.
Normally, appearing in a film of this caliber would be a huge step forward for an actor's career.
Actors are a very close-knit industry. Actors from various countries who come to the United States to work generally form close-knit groups where seniors mentor juniors.
Joey and Al Pacino are Italy actors. If they can establish a connection through this opportunity, as Joey said, his career could really take off.
But movie actors are far more sophisticated than TV actors. If Joey really succeeds, he will probably go into the movie industry. Why would he still act in soap operas?
It seems there's still a problem somewhere.
"Joey, what role are you playing?"
"%#@..."
Joey mumbled something that was completely incomprehensible.
"Joey!"
Adam guessed it was probably true; he was just afraid the character wouldn't even show his face.
"Okay, okay."
Joey shrugged and said, "I'm his butt double. I play Al Pacino's butt. He walks into the bathroom, and then I show off his butt, okay?"
"OMG!"
Monica couldn't hold back her laughter and could only cover her mouth with her hand, but she still couldn't control it.
"They really don't show their faces."
Adam was both amused and exasperated.
"Don't do that, big guy."
Joey explained, "Even though it's just a butt double, I still have aspirations."
"Um."
Chandler suppressed a laugh and said, "It's not too late to get a tattoo now. Get it tattooed on here. Professional butt double: Joey Tribiani, contact number 233666."
"Alright."
Adam interrupted, "Stop teasing Joey. His courage in pursuing his dream is admirable. Not everyone has the courage to do that."
Yes, yes.
Rachel covered her mouth, suppressing a laugh, and said, "Let's hear how Joey plans to use his ass to showcase his acting skills."
That's it.
Joey, with his peculiar way of thinking, clapped his hands and exclaimed, "Although this is just a body double, it's still Al Pacino's body double, and countless people will see it. Once my performance is up to par, countless people will immediately know who I am, Joey Tribiani. Isn't this a great opportunity?"
"Yes, yes."
Monica laughed and said, "But how good is your performance?"
"I've thought it all through."
Joey said seriously, "This character is very depressed when he takes a shower. His wife is dead and his brother is missing, so I will use his butt to show his depression and anger, like this."
At this point, Joey turned around, strained his whole body, and tightened his buttocks.
"Wow, you're angry, we see that."
Chandler exclaimed dramatically, "That's terrifying! Please relax, I'm afraid you'll hit me!"
"Right, you saw that?"
Joey was delighted and said confidently, "He's still wearing pants, otherwise the effect would be even better and more impactful. Do you want to see?"
"No!"
"Thank you, but never mind."
Everyone quickly stopped Joey from taking off his pants.
"By the way, Monica, could I borrow your moisturizing lotion later?"
Joey said excitedly.
"What?!"
Monica stared in disbelief, then turned her head away and waved her hand, saying, "It's in the bathroom. You can take it and use it. Don't tell me how you plan to use it, and you don't need to return it."
"Thanks."
Joey happily went inside and got it.
Even if it's just the buttocks appearing on screen, proper makeup is still required; this is the professional ethics of a professional actor.
"Joey."
Adam thought for a moment, and seeing him come out with moisturizing lotion, he still reminded him, "I think you shouldn't do that."
"Why?"
Joey was taken aback.
"A buttock substitute is just a buttock substitute."
Adam said carefully, "The director didn't hire you to portray anger or despair at all, but to let Al Pacino's fans see an alluring butt. If you insist on acting like that, you might get fired."
"No way?"
Joey said dejectedly.
"Very likely."
Adam cautioned, "An attractive butt is easy to find, but once you fail to satisfy them, they won't have time to listen to your 'angry butt theory'; they'll just switch to someone else immediately."
Forcing extra scenes will never result in a good outcome, as Zhou Xingxing and Tang Xiaoyou know all too well.
"Then what should I do?"
Joey said, somewhat bewildered, "This is my best chance yet. If I can't perform, what's the point of being an actor?"
"This is indeed your best chance."
Adam laughed and said, "But it's definitely not about letting you talk with your ass, it's about finding an opportunity to get close to your real ass, Al Pacino."
"You're both of Italy descent. Once you establish this connection and become famous, you'll have plenty of opportunities to perform this amazing skill. You could even have a director make a movie about it."
"Yes."
Phoebe chimed in, "Then people will be excitedly saying, 'I'm going to play Joey Tribianni's ass...'"
Joey smirked and nodded repeatedly, looking on with great longing.
