Lily and Marshall came over with forced smiles, their frantic voices lowered.
"What's wrong?"
Adam reluctantly let go of the explosively curvy Heather.
"We're starving to death."
Lily said frantically, "We had the hotel arrange so much delicious food, but we haven't gotten a single bite."
"We haven't eaten anything all day."
Marshall chimed in, "Every time we're about to eat, some friend or relative comes over to talk to us alone, and then it's cocktail after cocktail."
"If I hadn't stopped him just now, Marshall would've been talking to someone while reaching toward the table to pick up food a child had spat onto a napkin and eat it."
With a single sentence, Lily made it clear just how dire the situation was.
"Alright, I'll arrange something for you."
Seeing that Lily and Marshall were both swaying a little, Adam knew they really were starving and hurriedly prepared to take them to get something to eat.
As the bride, Lily had starved herself even harder. Her crazed eyes had grown a little unfocused.
